Judas Priest on Tour

British heavy metal powerhouse Judas Priest has released 22 albums over four decades. They laid much of the groundwork for the heavy music of the 80s with their two guitar attack of revved up blues-based riffs They continue to tour, treating metal fans to extravagant live shows and spirited renditions of their unmistakable anthems. Ticket holders are sure to get to a concert early because they don't want to miss Singer Rob Halford's stage entrance. He emerges from a cloud of fog riding on a Harley Davidson, clad head to toe in leather-studded S&M gear. The band released a live DVD of their Epitaph World Tour in May 2013, which well received and features 23 tracks covering most eras of the bands storied career.

Judas Priest in Concert

The group formed in 1969 in Birmingham, England and released their first album in 1974 entitled Rocka Rolla. This was soon to be followed by Sad Wings of Destiny in 1976, which gained the group a wider audience in the UK. The group's next three albums: Sin After Sin, Stained Class and Hell Bent for Leather were released in 1977, 1978 and 1979 respectively, and showed a band evolving its sound into shorter songs that still retained a heavy metal punch. Next came the album British Steel in 1980, which featured "Living After Midnight", "Breaking the Law" and "United" — all earning regular radio play. Point of Entry was released in 1981, followed by Screaming For Vengeance in 1984, which went double platinum. The 2008 concept album Nostradamus found them pushing boundaries by challenging their listeners to consider how "metal" the man of prophetic talents actually was. Over the next four years the band toured relentlessly and they show no signs of letting up, with an impressive schedule of tour dates on the books for 2014.

STL Music Park - Judas Priest 🤘🏻

by lpconcerts on 5/8/24Saint Louis Music Park - Maryland Heights

STL Music Park is one of our absolute favorite venues! The sound and layout are awesome! 👏🏻 Seeing Sabaton and Judas Priest there was a high energy, metal-lover’s dream! The crowd was courteous and grateful to be entertained by veterans who were likewise grateful for such an enthusiastic crowd! Judas Priest’s setlist pleased universally, with a mix of a few (awesome) new songs and plenty of beloved greatest hits. Only hope for improvement with regard to the venue - the stage lights were painfully bright when directed at the audience. More than any other venue I’ve been to. The parking flow needs improvement.

    OUTSTANDING

by Judas Priest on 5/8/24Saint Louis Music Park - Maryland Heights

one of the BEST shows I have seen in years!!!!!! Loved the venue only thing that could be improved s the size/space of seating. It’s tight and you feel like you on your neighbors lap lol but other than clean not too expensive and just great all around.

    Fantastic concert

by Sue Slattery on 5/8/24Saint Louis Music Park - Maryland Heights

This was the first time I have seen seen Judas Priest but I have been a fan for over 35 years. Sabaton is new for me. The concert was fantastic. I rushed out to download the Sabaton songs. They did a phenomenal job and I would've loved to have heard them for longer that night. Judas Priest was exceptional as I expected.

One of the best concert experiences ever!

by Rob on 5/7/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

We also did the backstage experience. Absolutely awesome and creates an immersive experience different from just consuming a concert from the front of the stage. Everybody was super friendly and took a lot of time to explain everything from instruments to sound, lights, camera, Rob's wardrobe etc. As a bonus, we were also able to meet with Scott and Richie. Cool guys, down to earth and very fan oriented. We learned that the Judas Priest show is very "analogue"and doesn't rely on backing tracks and over the top effects. Delay for Rob, distortion for Richie comes solely from the amp etc. Impressive and shows the quality of the musicians. the concert itself was spot on: great setlist and superb performance. Rob at over 70 years old still sings like the Metal God he is! Go there!
