CROBOT IN CONCERT:
At first listen, you might think Crobot is a band that was born in the wrong era. With their groove-soaked hard rock jams, it's easy to imagine them playing alongside '70s heavyweights Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. But the quartet's retro rock sound is making big waves today, treating ticket buyers to amped-up live performances and earning them comparisons to Wolfmother and Soundgarden. Frontman Brandon Yeagley is an absolutely mesmeric force on stage, busting out powerful vocals while getting a full-body workout with his hair-flipping moves. Equally as hypnotic is guitarist Chris Bishop, whose riff-heavy solos are equal parts funky and melodic on crowd favorites "Nowhere To Hide" and "La Mando de Lucifer". Riding high on the success of their stellar 2014 debut album, Crobot is an act that demands to be seen in concert.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Singer Brandon Yeagley and guitarist Chris Bishop formed Crobot in 2012 in their native Pennsylvania. As a duo they self-released one EP, 2012's The Legend Of The Spaceborne Killer, before rounding out their rhythm section with bassist Jake Figueroa and his brother, drummer Paul Figueroa. The quartet penned a deal with Wind-Up Records in 2013 and spent the year building a dedicated fanbase on tour alongside Clutch, The Sword, Truckfighters, The Virginmarys, and more. 2014 was a huge year for the band -- they performed show-stopping sets at South by Southwest and Rock on the Range and their single "Nowhere To Hide" hit No. 16 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart. In October of 2014 they released their debut album Something Supernatural before finishing the year on a high note with their own US headlining tour.

These guys are very humble. Extremely talented musicians. The show was full of energy. I have seen the 2 times and was floored both times. Groove Metal is the only way I can explain them. Checked out their last 2 cds and was very impressed. Have to get the first one now because I will go see them again. Rock on !!
It goes without speech of how amazing this band is. They pour everything of their soul onto the stage. Period. I have not seen anything like this in a very long time, and I go to a lot of shows. They are the greatest. I have seen them twice and cannot wait until they play The Black Sheep in Colorado Springs again, though I doubt a venue of such a small caliber will sustain the fame they have achieved by then...Ball Arena, Broncos Stadium maybe as headliners. They are beyond amazing live. They deserve every bit of fame they have earned. Think of Zeppelin in the late 70's and sprinkle harder rock on it, then you will understand. I've been around a while. Thank you, Crowbot for everything you did to transform my life in a positive way. I will never forget the time I was allowed to share in your presence live. Never stop what you are doing because it is positively mind-blowing.
Crobot is a must see! Brandons voice is like no other, mesmerizing!! Their stage presence is electrifying!! Id give them 100 stars if I could.
Great concert experience!!! Band exceeded all expectations!!
Crobot did not disappoint and Royal Thunder was an unexpected gem!
Royal Thunder was awesome!!! Crobot had crazy energy! Great venue
Mothership, Wilson, and of course, Crobot were all so great, I'm surprised more people didn't come out to see them! Alrosa wasn't the best venue but it worked. I can't wait until Crobot gets really big, they're truly a great band.
On Saturday I dropped by the CHAMELEON CLUB to catch the set of CROBOT before they joined the VIRGINMARYS for their UK tour. CROBOT is a local band from the central PA area. They are fronted by BRANDON YEAGLEY who appears like he's straight out of the seventies with a musical style that is retro as well. The band did a good job as they are clearly an act with a bright future. YEAGLEY has some high energy moves as a vocalist a dynamic he has honed over time. Their not yet ready for prime time but working hard to get there and I have no doubt that their tour with the VIRGINMARYS will help to polish their act and tighten them up.. They have a 4 song EP out with a full length album set to drop in October. CROBOT is a band you should know and I would like to see them again in about a year when they've had a chance to maturate.
