flipturn makes indie music for endless summers, sun-streaked days, and introspective nights. It's a cinematic sound rooted not only in the Florida towns where the musicians first banded together as teenagers, but also in the anthemic live show that's taken flipturn from coast to coast. In the time since their formation, flipturn has mushroomed to reaches far beyond the walls of the Fernandina Beach garage they first practiced in. Built up by Dillon Basse (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Tristan Duncan (lead guitar), Madeline Jarman (bass), Mitch Fountain (synth), and Devon VonBalson (drums), the band has long prepared for the release of their debut album Shadowglow; a snapshot of a band caught halfway between youthful optimism and adult precision, with songs that target the head as well as the heart.
With over 85 million streams on Spotify alone, countless sold-out headline shows across the US, and tours with Mt. Joy, Rainbow Kitten Surprise and Wilderado, the band has more than proven their place in the indie scene. 2022 saw flipturn join the prestigious lineups of Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Shaky Knees, Hangout, SunFest, and Levitate. flipturn recently signed with Dualtone Records to further amplify the release of their debut album, joining their legendary roster of the likes of The Lumineers, Chuck Berry and Shakey Graves.

This is honestly the best band I’ve ever seen live. They are so passionate and beyond creative. I would not have changed a thing! I saw them in April not knowing who they were and was blown away and quickly learned the songs and was excited to get the chance to see them a couple hours away. I would gladly drive anywhere to see them. Best night of my life hands down.
They sound so great live, energy was amazing, just an overall beautiful experience! Will be seeing them again next time around!
I had never really been to a concert before at least like this. I’d seen live music and enjoyed it but just the way these musicians are together and how they treat their fans made all the difference. The VIP situation prior was so surreal and comfortable. Everyone in FlipTurn holds a special space in my heart for how talented and humble they are. Seeing their music live and the joy that exudes from their playing really is a testament for how dedicated they are to their songs. Literally spend the money, watch them live. I have never been in such a crowded space and felt so safe and welcomed ever. It’s an experience I won’t forget.
We love Flipturn and the venue was great, but the sound was just not good. It felt like we were being yelled at the whole time and the treble was just too high. We went and stood behind the mixers and it was better but still not great, even with ear plugs in. Not the show we had hoped for from a band we love. It was just meh.
They did such an awesome job, their energy was contagious! I had so much fun! <3

Lots of amazing mood work done with the lights. The bands stage presence is just out of this world. I never thought a band that sounds sooooo freaking good on recordings could sound even better live. They're a must see!!!

Flipturn are the best band touring! See them now, their next tour is going to be stadiums. Their live show pushes the edge to their songs, where the studio recordings highlight their ability to turn a rhythm section plus into a modern string quartet (like the way composer Ona K is doing with a classical string quartet). They give so much energy and connection to their audience. Truly a special show.
i’ve seen flipturn twice before and they held up for an amazing third show! the goner has such an amazing voice with a great band behind/with him. i would see flipturn everytime they come around
