Another great Electric Christmas

Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

This is my third Electric Christmas in Sacramento. The place was sold out. The Lumineers and Walk the Moon were great. I will go again next year

Luminers were incredible. Others, not so much

Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

Again, Luminers were incredible 5 stars. But...Portugal Tha Man came off like a studio band at best. Loud and vulgar not very articulate... I used to be a fan.

Great music!

Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

Great music all night by all of the groups. I just wished The Lumineers played longer. The venue was great with lots of choices for food and drinks.

Lumineers were mesmerizing! didn't want it to end!

Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

Great parking! Great seats on lower level! And Fantastic performances from all 3 bands....Lumineers can be crossed off my bucket list now but I will definitely buy a ticket whenever they come back! Mesmerizing!!!!!

Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

Horrible sound, distorted- Lumineers shouldn’t be blamed for poor production quality! And don’t get me started on Portugal - there were kids at the show - SO inappropriate!! No one wants to see a globe shoved up a mannequin’s lady parts - I don’t care if you think that’s art - kids at 8yo don’t need to see that at a xmas show.

Amazing Experience (Probably bc I had VIP)

Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

So I had VIP tickets to Electric Christmas and it was an amazing experience. I was at barricade plus I had the perks of being able to go to the lounge. Let me tell you it was super nice in that lounge. Had free snacks and water cups but not water bottles. Nevertheless, A+ work because the staff was super nice to my friend and I. Loved Walk the Moon’s energy/set, wasn’t a fan of Portugal the Man’s set but my friend loved them & The Lumineers of course rocked! Definitely will try to go back to an Electric Christmas concert again!!!

It was their WORST Electric Christmas...EVER!

Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

This was Radio 94.7's fifth annual Electric Christmas concert and my fourth. I also went to Spring Fling 2016 (what happened to that?) and City of Trees 2015. I can safely say it was the worst Radio 94.7 concert I've ever been to. How did they advertise this as their "BEST...EVER"? What were they thinking?? Since its beginning, Radio 94.7 has been my favorite Sacramento radio station, and I make it a point to go to their concerts. But this one was different. Instead of 5-6 bands/artists, they only had 3. Definitely their smallest concert ever, but apparently, it was also their biggest in terms of attendance - Golden 1 Center was completely sold out. I guess the Lumineers really draw a crowd. It felt more like a regular concert, with one main artist and two openers, and while I like the Lumineers, I didn't pay to go to a Lumineers concert. There was no music between sets or the rep pumping up the crowd like there has been in the past, at least nothing I could hear from the second to last row of the second level. Speaking of which, the sound quality back there was not worth it. Idk who's in charge of this, but Portugal. The Man was especially horrible. They sound better recorded than live. Not sure when they became bigger than Walk the Moon either. Last year's Electric Christmas was their best ever. They had five artists, it was at the brand-new Golden 1 Center, their reputation kept the excitement going all night, Capital Cities closed with an amazing set, and we were toward the back of the lower level (I don't think they were even selling tickets for the upper level). Last year, I paid $49 for an amazing concert. This year, I paid $38 for a concert I would have passed up in hindsight. Please do better next year.

Lumineers

Golden 1 Center - Sacramento

Lumineers were amazing! Portugal. The man, not so much. He just didn't fit in with the other two bands. His recent top hit is nothing like his other music. My ears were burning during his performance and I actually left for awhile. The flashing bright strobe-like lights were also pretty annoying. Lumineers made up for the whole thing and they were so much fun to watch and sing along with!

Biography

The Lumineers in Concert

Denver, Colorado's The Lumineers released their eponymous debut album through Nashville's Dualtone in 2012. The triple platinum album garnered two GRAMMY nominations and spawned the chart-topping platinum singles, "Ho Hey" and "Stubborn Love". The band also served as Saturday Night Live's musical guest on January 19, 2013.

After years of touring the world in support of their debut album, the band released the follow up Cleopatra on Dualtone, in 2016. The platinum album debuted #1 on both Billboard's Top 200 Albums Chart and the UK Albums Chart and featured the gold title track as well as the platinum single, "Ophelia". The tour in support of Cleopatra included two sold out shows at Madison Square Garden and one at the Hollywood Bowl.

The band has also supported two of their musical heroes, including opening up for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers on his last tour as well as U2 on their "Joshua Tree Tour" in 2017. The band was also invited as guests to visit the Obama White House twice in 2016.
