ZZ Top Concert Schedule
ZZ Top is a legendary American rock band known for their blues-infused rock music, bawdy lyrics and long, red beards. ZZ Top tours include the 2017 Tonnage Tour, 2016 Hell Raisers Tour, and the 2013 La Futura Tour. ZZ Top live shows leave the audience laughing dancing and feeling like they are at a jam session with close friends, instead of a concert headlined by rock and roll legends. Their massive success has allowed all of their albums to reach gold or platinum status. The band's best selling album is 1983's Eliminator, which spawned the hit singles "Legs" and "Sharped Dress Man." The album went on to sell 10 million units, reaching diamond status and the 25 million records they've sold in the U.S. makes them one of the top 100 selling artists in the country. ZZ Top has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004.
ZZ Top Background
ZZ Top formed in 1969 in Houston Texas with guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbon, organist Lanier Greig and drummer Dan Mitchell. The name of the band came from Gibbons combining the names of B.B. King and Z.Z. Hill, when he noticed that many artists used their initials as their band's name. When ZZ King seemed too close to the originals he changed it to ZZ Top. The current lineup of the band consists of bassist and lead vocalist Dusty Hill, Billy Gibbon and drummer Frank Beard. ZZ Top's signature sound can best be described as blues-infused rock with elements of punk rock and new wave added through their use synthesizers. While Eliminator was the band's most successful album with 10 million albums sold, 1985's Afterburner was their highest charting album. All the singles from Afterburner were Top 40 hits and the album itself went on to sell five million copies. Other Top 40 singles include 1975's "Tush," 1977's "I Thank You," and 1981's "Gimme All Your Lovin'"Follow ZZ Top on social media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook.

Mezzanine is the best seating. Front row center seats gave us a great view. The people in the floor level seating stood for the whole show while the main act played. Sound team did a great job keeping the volume button at the perfect spot. Only issue would be the back drop was a bright bland screen which could improve to make the band visually pop. I’ve seen Billy Gibbons a couple times before and has some great video screen work behind the band.
This is the fifth time in my life I've seen ZZ Top, starting in 1974. For the first time, I noticed Billy was off his game a little. When he had to start a song over, it was noticeable. I wasn't the only one who saw this, other people around me were all looking at each other like "did we just see that?"But he is 74...
I'm a big fan of ZZ Top. It's been many years since I've seen them live. Unfortunately, this show was average at best. They never really kicked it in high gear and it seemed like they were going through the motions. The Pearl is a great venue at the Palms Hotel. Maybe it was just an off night.........
Had a great time venue was not too loud and the temperature was great
Very good show. Opening act was great as was ZZ TOP. We really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was great as were the bartenders so nice and friendly. 😊
Billy and the boys always bring it! One of the greatest performers of all time. An absolute King to most guitar players. Much love always. Texas is the reason.
Opening Act did work for me ZZTop W’s fantastic Sounded real close to what they did in the 70’s Billy Givens is a World Class Guitarist Show was too short 30 minutes for Opener took at least that much time away from what I paid for Loved every minute of what we got from ZZ
50 Years Great! Been a devoted fan ever since I played their music on my truck’s cassette player. Best Road Music ever.
Both Foghat and ZZ Top did a great job! Sounded great, looked great, performances were outstanding. One of the best shows I’ve seen this year with all their best songs. ZZ Top didn’t miss a beat with new bassist (0ld guitar tech) Elwood Francis, he fit perfectly.
The sound was off. I sat right behind sound tech. second row section 301. Too loud.on the instruments... Foghat had better sound...
Great show!!! Loved ZZ Top! Great selection of most of their best songs. The new base player made a great impression! Foghat opened and killed it with Slow Ride. The Thunder Valley Venue is a great place for entertainment.
Finally got to see both these groups - fine shows with some good old rock and roll! Thunder Valley is a nice "new"location with decent acoustics and views - only downside is bathrooms, doesn't seem to be enough.
Been listening to these guys since 1981, and they still got it going on! My GF and I loved the show so much, we’re going to see them again, with Lynyrd Skynyrd. God rest Dusty. Elwood is doing just fine. You guys keep on keeping on!!! 🙏
The show was amazing, the music was great they rocked the house. The Reno ballroom has a lot to be desired. Everything is one level and if you’re short like me you can’t see at all unless you stand the entire show. This only helps if everyone is sitting but you. If they stand game over.
Fortunately, and unfortunately, I have seen ZZ Top more than any rock ‘n’ roll band in concert in my life starting at 1973, they did a good job, but let’s face it. The original sounds and harmonizing and Uber coolness just can’t be duplicated.
While we missed Dusty play, he had to be smiling down on how well Elwood performed with Billy & Frank! They rocked the place for about 90 minutes, playing their more popular tunes. They also played one or two little unknown songs, and it was awesome! The Venue was sure a beautiful and comfortable change from the last time they played in Lincoln, when it was outside and 96 degrees at night!😎 🎸🎸🥁😎😎
First time at this venue for my wife’s BD. Been a ZZTOP fan since ‘69. Great venue!!! Not a bad seat in the house! Nice workers! We sat 5 rows from stage on the left side. ZZTOP was awesome as usual. It was a bit weird not seeing Dusty (RIP), but Elwood does a superb job. On the other side, the opening act, Foghat was energetic and loud. The real draw back for us, was the heavily micd up kick drum. It took over everything! Really couldn’t wait for their set to be over. Otherwise, they were good, just the bass drum was overwhelming! Sorry! I don’t think we were the only ones who thought so. But it doesn’t matter if we were or not. Overall, it was a good experience. Just an awesome Venue!
Fantastic show. New guy held his own nicely. they didn't skip a beat.
It was a great concert. ZZ Top knows how to rock. I’m glad I got to see them.
