They say fashion is cyclical... and they’re right. Truly amazing things never go out of style, regardless of when they first popped up. Toto’s tune ‘Africa’ is one of these things. First heard in 1982, this masterpiece of popular prog has been a staple of pop culture since release. Taken from their massive second album Toto IV, it combined their other calling card Rosanna to introduce Toto to a massive audience. That record would go on to win several Grammy Awards and establish a base from which the band grew into one of the most prolific and durable acts in modern music history. Musically mind blowing and with more hits that you can poke a stick at, there’s no doubt that people will ask “where were you when Toto played Festival Hall?” for years to come.
IMHO Best Band in the Land. LUUUUUKE and The Boys are on fire! I will go see them every chance I get.
Was unable to attend. Tried to turn in ticket to get credit for a future show through Ticketmaster but to no avail stated no. Was not asking for money back just credit in my account. No more shows through Ticketmaster for me. Has been good run till now.
I’ve been a Toto fan for many years and finally got to see them live. It’s was a wonderful experience. High energy and they still sound amazing.
Toto always delivers with their incredible talent and engagement of the audience. Always a fan! Great venue, too!
Was a great show Mershon Auditorium is a nice place 2 see shows holds 2500 ppl if I’m right . Highly recommend this venue parking garages are near by or you can fhgt see Uber or Lyft if you live around Columbus Ohio then that’s fine also. But the Acoustics are not bad either place you can see stage from anywhere if you get off 2 the side some your view could be blocked just a little BBCg by speakers hanging down from the stage .easy in easy out when show is over but have 2 deal with traffic getting out of the parking garages.
I must admit, while I am a ToTo fan, I would not have gone to this concert if my husband did not suggest we go. I would have missed out on one of the best concerts I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot! Steve Lukather is incredible and the rest of the band was amazing. I have only heard better harmonies from the Eagles (with Glenn Fry). I would highly recommend seeing them if you get the chance. Entertaining, great musicians and great music!
Enjoyed the entire show. All performances were amazing and enjoyed grooving to them.
Great venue for concerts. Toto was worth every dime. Played the hits and a few more. Sounded great.
I wish I could leave a review just for the soundboard. My one star doesn't necessarily reflect the band, but I wouldn't know how to rate the band since we left after 30 minutes simply because the overall sound - vocals & instruments - was a muddled mess. The bass from drums and guitar were tuned to 'blast your face off' - you could feel the bass through your whole body which completely distorted every other instrument and vocal(s); the volume was way too much which seemed to add to the distortion. Toto is a band with beautiful instrumentation and vocals which were completely lost at our show. We were very disappointed.
It was a fun concert with Toto not disappointing. Mershon auditorium has wonderful accustics.
