Billy Joel

Chase Field - Phoenix

Fantastic set. Great time. Billy is as good as ever. I saw him in 1985. I have most albums. Great venue.

Outstanding

Madison Square Garden - New York

I very much enjoyed the concert, with many memorable songs. The rotating platform which Billy Joel and his piano was on rotated so he would be facing people no mater which side, or middle one was at.

Billy Joel is a National Treasure

Madison Square Garden - New York

Terrific show. He is the same person he has always been. First met him in Israel in 1980. He was and is a gentleman and a real nice guy. Since then, I have probably been to over 20 concerts and he never disappoints.

Average show

Madison Square Garden - New York

Show not as good as the one we saw 2 years ago. He didn't sing many of his hits.

Billy Joel @ MSG

Madison Square Garden - New York

Billy Joel was on fire at The Garden. He is as good as ever! He is like fine wine at "The Italian Restaurant," he just gets better with age. He played many of his classic hits, but added a twist to his playlist. He included 3 or 4 songs that he normally does not perform live in concert just because it was Valentine's Day. His singing was as sharp as ever with a really hot band! What a show! This was the second time that I saw him at The Garden, and he was even better this time around! If you like Billy Joel music, seeing him live is a must!

Valentines Day, Fun Night

Madison Square Garden - New York

I give the show a 5-star rating. Did he miss some notes, yes. Was he in sync every minute, no. Did he give EVERYTHING he had in his wobbly legs, and his arthritic fingers that still dazzle the ivory, YES HE DID ! It would be hard to ask of anymore from a performer who's been ENTERTAINING us for all these years. I've seen "Mr. William Joel" many times, never been disappointed and this show was another one added to that list. The 2 Led Zep songs by Michael DelGuidice were amazing and the Joel faithful loved them. And by the look on Billy's face, so did he. Songs like, "Just the way you are" and "So it goes" were another added bonus. GREAT night, Thanks Again Billy !!

Biography

Legendary New York-bred singer-songwriter Billy Joel has toured only sporadically in recent years, but fans have plenty of opportunities to score tickets to see him in concert going forward -- if they're willing to head out to New York's Madison Square Garden. Joel signed an open-ended deal with MSG that will have him playing a concert at the venue once per month for as long as there's demand. And demand has never been a problem for Joel at he historic New York venue; he played his first show there in 1978, and had logged 46 concerts at the arena by 2013.
New York isn't alone in its love for the singer. Joel has long been established as one of the top-grossing touring artists in the U.S., and has sold more than 150 million records over the course his four-decade career. After recording a long string of hits including "Piano Man," "New York State of Mind," "Just the Way You Are," "You May Be Right," "Pressure," "Uptown Girl," "We Didn't Start the Fire," and  "The River of Dreams," Joel decided that he was done writing pop and rock songs. It's a decision he's stuck with; it's been more than 20 years since he's recorded a new pop or rock album. He's composed new classical material instead, while continuing to play songs from his catalog in concert.
