About

The Irish are coming! The Irish are coming! Northern Irish dance-punk trio Two Door Cinema Club have stormed the urban scene with their fresh indie new-wave sound. Think of them as your ticket to catchy dance music without the guilt.

If you've been to any cool-kid parties with plenty of PBR or watched a Microsoft Outlook commercial you've heard Two Door Cinema Club. The debut single "Something Good Can Work" was originally released in 2009 on a trend-setting compilation from fashion house/record label Maison Kitsunè. If you can't remember it catch it on Youtube (it has nearly 15 million views).

Following in the footsteps of French dance-pop phenomena Phoenix and '80s icon Duran Duran, Two Door Cinema Club recorded their debut 2010 album Tourist History at Eastcote Studios in London. Mixed by Phillip Zdar, his vision was to  punch up the beat with rich bass and foot-stomping rhythm. While on tour with Alt-J, Chvrches, Peace and St Lucia, stopping a venues like Fillmore (Philadelphia), their live sets turned into impromptu dance parties, not even the most passive fans couldn't resist the groove.

Their sophomore album Beacon, produced by Jacknife Lee was released in September 2012 and reached No. 17 on the U.S. Billboard 200 with  singles" Sleep Alone" and "Sun." Well thought hooks, good beats, and fearless when it comes to having fun, Two Door Cinema Club is going to have many honorary members wanting to join in.

    Good but LIGHTS

    by Phil on 2/29/24

Band was great. Better than they are on record. Reminded me of The Wombats when they went to town. Played a lot of old songs. Happy to have finally seen them. Their lights were constantly strobing. I thought I was going to have a seizure. I had to keep looking away for that reason. Normally bands do not do strobe lights as frequently as that.

by PT on 2/29/24The Fillmore Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Philly 2/26 show at the Fillmore. This fulfilled a childhood dream for me. So magical to experience a huge band at a small venue, thank you to the other concert goers for being as excited as I was to see them 💖

    Two Door Cinema Club/Joywave

by JV on 2/28/24The Fillmore Charlotte - Charlotte

Unbelievable!! Both bands brought it at light speed! It was amazing! Such a great atmosphere and sooo much talent on stage. Very grateful to see them at an awesome venue, knowing full well they could have sold out a much bigger space. The place was packed and we had an unforgettable time. Going across country to see them again in Denver in May; they are that good!! Don't miss it!!

The usual issue with the fillmore.

by Pteranodon on 2/26/24The Fillmore Charlotte - Charlotte

The show it self was awesome. But it ended at 10:30 which was lame. And it was beyond crowded. I could barely see or move

    FANTASTIC LIVE SHOW!

by Princess Bean on 2/26/24The Fillmore Charlotte - Charlotte

I have loved this band since 2012 and it was their first time coming to my state so of course I had to get tickets. When I tell you my 2012 tumblr girl was resurrected during this show. They played so many of their classic bangers that I absolutely lost my mind to. The only thing I didn’t super love were the strobe lights. They were a bit much especially since I was standing directly in front of one. I would suggest removing them for future dates so people aren’t getting constantly blinded by lights or getting a headache. Especially light sensitive people! Overall, it was a great show. Two door cinema club will always have a place in my heart!

great show - tight band - too much strobe lighting

by bt on 11/12/19Hollywood Palladium - Hollywood

Loved the band. Venue is classic. sound was great. But the lighting was over the top. Way too much strobe lighting. Not sure they warned people about strobes, but it was very heavy. Had a great time though. Glad I was not allergic to strobe lights.

As always, Two Door Cinema Club was outstanding. High energy, fun show. But the venue and opening band were atrocious, hence 4 stars instead of 5.

    Too flashy

by unhappycamper on 11/9/19Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

We were super excited when we got to the venue - we'd never been to the Fox Theatre before and it really was stunning. However, after only 6 songs from the headline act we ended up leaving - the sound system was way too loud and the strobe lighting on stage was so bright it was giving me a headache. I couldn't even look at the stage at some points. Really disappointed. The support act were good though - wish we'd got there earlier to see more of them.

    Awesome Show

by Ave on 11/7/19Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

I love the fox theater because the visuals are so entertaining and you can be so close to the stage. TDCC sounded perfect live and the concert was easy to get into without a lot of lines.
