About

NEIL YOUNG AND CRAZY HORSE IN CONCERT:

Legendary singer-songwriter Neil Young continues to thrill fans with perennial outings alongside his collaborative band Crazy Horse. Whether they're bringing down the house at Carnegie Hall or sharing the stage with luminaries like Diana Krall, the band always  puts on a stellar, wide-ranging show that keeps fans on their toes. Playing marathon sets that include classics like "Old Man" and "Heart of Gold" alongside creative covers of fellow giants like Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan, the band's unparalleled musicianship and Young's familiar voice are sure to bring back plenty of memories.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Since the late '60s, Neil Young and Crazy Horse have released more than 10 albums, exploring such diverse genres  as country-folk, pop, and psychedelic rock. The band is best known, however, for Neil Young's iconic folk rock songwriting, popularized by hugely successful songs like "Cinammon Girl." Never content to rest on their laurels, Young and company have remained musically prolific and sonically experimental, earning rave reviews for their 2012 double-LP release Psychedelic Pill.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“Neil Young and Crazy Horse play like the rock and roll legends that they are. Truly a great show reminiscent of the classics from the early days.”

“They weren't going through the motions, they were making them. Improvising, jamming, messing up, laughing, only in the way Neil and the Horse can. They were so tightly tuned in to one another and sounded great, but the best part was that they seemed happy to be there, happy to perform.”

“Neil is a genius! After all these years, he still rocks and puts on a great show!”

Like the young Neil Young better

by Carotopp on 5/10/24Ameris Bank Amphitheatre - Alpharetta

Loved the acoustic & harmonica! I thought the other music was a lot of noise. All the staff were very helpful and kind.

I have waited forever to see Neil Young. I knew he would be great, but he was fabulous! I will pay any price to see him again! Possibly the best concert I have ever seen!

    def worth it!

by laura.gordon on 5/10/24Ameris Bank Amphitheatre - Alpharetta

Third time seeing Crazy Horse. It was worth the time and expense; surprising, since going to shows is not half as fun as it used to be. Ameris Bank Ampitheatre charges $20 for a tall IPA, FYI.

    The SLOW HORSE

by Robert E on 5/10/24Ameris Bank Amphitheatre - Alpharetta

Neil Was very slow on Cortez and No Guitar Jam…. Band was tight, but Micah is Not Nils , Stills , or Lucas .. No Challenge.. They jammed on Powderfinger and Love and only love… even left off jam on Cinnamon Girl.. I first saw Neil in 1972 with the Stray Gators 🐊 I worked 3 C,S,N, and Y in 1974… probably saw him now 30 times.. Overall I was glad We went !!! Bottom Line is that he is still Neil Young … and play 2 hours next time .. RC 🍄🐎

    Timeless music

by Jim on 5/10/24Ameris Bank Amphitheatre - Alpharetta

Neil Young and Crazy Horse put on an amazing show, spanning a career. Neil’s vocals and the band’s cohesiveness made it a great evening, well-paced. Like a Hurricane rocked.

    Low budget

by RNRwillneverdie on 5/10/24Ameris Bank Amphitheatre - Alpharetta

Fun show, but time to hang it up. We paid nearly $500 to sit behind disruptive fans, standing when everybody was sitting. No projection on the screens. Guitars players often faced the drummer and not the audience. Neil's voice is fading. Sound wasn't good. Setlist was way too short. Song choice was iffy. Like a Hurricane was a pleasure, but not the change in lyrics at the end. Just had the feel of a low budget production for a hefty price.

    Completely Disappointed

    by Disappointed on 5/8/24

The high point as I would soon learn was that Reverend Billy the opening act started 20 minutes late. He was boring and preaching about Climate Change. When Neil Young came out to play, the big screen monitors were off. The audience all stood up and the people in the back couldn’t see the stage. I later learned that this was at Neil Young’s request. The the sound was horrible. The microphones kept feeding back and it was distorted. I don’t know how the end of the concert went because I was so disgusted that I walked out.

    Opens with Cortez the Killer

by Mm on 5/6/24Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre - Phoenix

Neil Young and Crazy Horse open the show with a 15 minute version of Cortez the Killer. And that sums up the concert itself. Incredible intensity! Security tried to run the crowd out 5 minutes after the show ended, knowing there's a traffic jam waiting. Not cool
