About

Orville Peck on Tour

Mysterious cowboy rocker Orville Peck and his band perform a theatrical version of vintage country music: Sequins, fringe, big hats and the singer's trademark masks, which obscure his face both on stage and off. It's no staid night at the saloon - his backing players are Toronto post-punk band the Frigs, and Peck performs his nocturnal, road-worn songs with bravado. After touring alongside indie-folkers Lord Huron in the beginning of 2019, Peck set off for months of headlining shows in America, Canada and Europe. His festival bookings include Austin City Limits, London's Visions Festival, Washington's Thing, North Carolina's Hopscotch, Nashville's AmericanaFest, Norway's Oya, Sweden's Way Out West, Texas' Trans-Pecos, Pitchfork Paris and Iceland Airwaves.

Orville Peck in Concert

Who is that masked man? Enigmatic troubadour and outlaw country sensation Orville Peck emerged in 2017, a Canadian cowboy who's part rodeo, part Twin Peaks. Though he prefers to keep his identity a riddle - photographed and performing exclusively in one of his fringed masks - Peck has admitted he's played in punk bands in the past, and was a fan of Johnny Cash, X and Neil Young. Released in 2017, his debut single "Dead of Night" was a twilight pick-up truck drive through 1950s twang, '90s dream pop and contemporary indie rock. He promptly signed to esteemed independent label Sub Pop, which released his 12-song debut album, Pony, in 2019. Painting himself as "psychedelic outlaw cowboy" who "croons love and loss from the badlands of North America," Peck sings deeply personal stories and songs under haunting, nostalgic reverb. His debut made an impact thanks to its gauzy textures, vivid storytelling and queer narratives that subvert country masculinity. It made such a splash that Pony ended up on the long list for the Polaris Prize less than two months after its release.

    5th annual rodeo

by Steph on 11/14/23Pappy + Harriet's Pioneertown Palace - Pioneertown

Drove 3 hours one way and had to get a hotel but it was worth it. Old Western atmosphere was perfect and the performers were amazing. It was so easy to park and leave too. Great venue. The performers were funny, talented, and there were touching moments too. This was my first rodeo but wont be my last

    Small and crowded

by TS on 11/14/23Pappy + Harriet's Pioneertown Palace - Pioneertown

I was really disappointed at how cramped the space felt. Too many people for such a small stage and area. Food closed too early so I didn’t get to eat. I couldn’t hear anything to the left of the stage. No designated walkways and a child was there? Also crowd was a weird mix of straight cis folx and queer folx.

    Incredible Rodeo!

by Kelsey on 11/14/23Pappy + Harriet's Pioneertown Palace - Pioneertown

Orville Peck was so fun live! What an amazing human being inside and out. So happy to support him. I appreciated the stories he shared between songs, and how open he was about his mental health battles. He sang some covers super well Friday night, had his original set Saturday night, and acoustic version of his songs Sunday night (didn't get to go to that one though!). It was also special to see his friendships with Noah Cyrus and all the other guests/friends he had as a part of the line up.

Even better live than on record

by Lauren on 6/24/23The Theater at MSG - New York

I’ve been a die hard Orville fan since 2019, and this was my first time seeing him live. He blew me out of the water with his talent. He is better live than on record and his band is just as talented. This was the best concert I’ve ever been to. Orville is the real deal and more and is truly legendary. I highly recommend seeing him in concert if you have the chance. You will never be the same again

He is one of the best singers I ever heard

by Higor on 6/23/23The Theater at MSG - New York

When I saw his image for the first time I fell in love about it. So I downloaded his album but because it’s country music I took some days to listen. So after a few days when I decided listen his album I couldn’t imagine how good it was. I started to listen and fallow him watching his videos … his 2nd EP good but his 3rd album Bronco one of the most beautiful songs. Like the first. Since I met his work I was trying to see a concert. I went to see this time and when he is back to the stages I will go see him again . The band is so special they’re all there with him making a beautiful SHOW.

    Awesome show

by Christopher on 6/23/23The Theater at MSG - New York

Orville played magnificently and put on a wonderful show. The acoustics and performance were impeccable in a more intimate theatre than a huge stadium.
