St Paul and the Broken Bones were outstanding. The spirits of Prince, BB King and Jimi Hendrix live on with Gary Clark Jr in the world and that’s not to take away from his own individuality. Absolutely blew this Scots lass away. The Choctaw Grand Theatre deserves a special shout out. I’ve see many gigs with living in the Uk and believe me this venue tops every one I’ve been in. From the accomadating staff to the wonderful spaciousness and allowance to actually enjoy yourself was a joy! The venue is large but intimate. Comfortable seats, bars all around , toilets perfectly clean and replenished; this place looks like the customer was consulted on how it should be laid out! Fabulous and it wasn’t freezing cold in there either! The staff need commending for sure with their helpfulness, politeness and friendly attitude. It just added to the flow of the evening. Will be definitely recommending to friends.
Lots of instrumental music. But it was so good to the soul, you could really connect to it. Great time!
Great show. Awesome guitar player with an amazing voice to go with it. Loved the old school feel with the 3 backup singers. The lightening was spot on !
Concert was excellent. Opening act St.Paul and the Broken Bones was great. Love Choctaw. Sound is awesome and seats are very comfortable.
Show was amazing. Gary Clark Jr never disappoints.
Headliner sound terrible. Venue was awesome and seats were awesome.
We had an amazing time with our adult children, they had never heard his music before. We were 3 rows back from the center stage. Woodinville winery is an awesome venue. I don’t go to that many concerts but I highly recommend Gary Clark Jr.
Holy smokes! I’ve been wanting to see Gary Clark Jr. for a while now, and I finally got the chance. He was even better than I had imagined. His songwriting is superb, and allows for a good amount of improvisation in his solos. He played several tracks from the new JPEG RAW album - which were all fantastic. But the highlight for me was “The Healing”. His improvised solo was simply out of this world. His band is awesome, HE is awesome, and I’m looking forward to seeing him each and every time he comes to Dallas!
Great music as expected - Crowd very enthusiastic and loud - Great venue, small enough to experience full music scope but still hold large crowd
