Queens of the Stone Age Concert Schedule
Queens of the Stone Age is a California-based heavy rock band consisting of the musicians Josh Hommes, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita and Jon Theodore. Their hard rock style The band's music style is predominantly hard rock, although they're also billed as alternative rock and stoner rock. Repetitive riffs are a feature in their songwriting, with a distinctive sound that draws heavily from electronic dance music. The 2017 tour celebrates the launch of the first Queens of the Stone Age album since 2013, Villains. Other tours include Ozzfest 2000, Rated R 2001, Duluth Tour 2007, V Festival Tour 2008, Era Vulgaris 2008 and Like Clockwork 2013. Queens of the Stone Age Live is known for its high-energy shows, with a bold style that's well-suited for the hard rock that fills their set list. Their many chart-topping singles and albums include ...Like Clockwork, which reached the No. 1 spot on U.S. music charts when it was released, and Lullabies to Paralyze, which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Chart. The band has won several awards, including Best Special Effects in a Video at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, Best Live Band at the 2004 NME Awards, Best Live Act at the 2003 Q Awards and Best Rock/Indie Video International at the 2014 U.K. Music Video Awards. Queens of the Stone Age have acted as an influence for many musicians, with Kevin Parker, De Staat, Royal Blood and Death From Above giving the band credit as an influencer in their music.
Queens of the Stone Age Background
Queens of the Stone Age got its start in 1996 in Palm Desert, California. Originally, the band called itself Gamma Ray. However, a German metal group already had this name, so Queens of the Stone Age was born. This name came from the nickname of Josh Homme's previous band, Kyuss. The band's musical style is influenced by many rock and metal genres, with macho and German rock styles commonly attributed to it. Later albums incorporate electronic and dance music influences. Queens of the Stone Age had their first concert in Seattle, Washington at the OK Hotel on November 20, 1997. Once they released their self-titled album Queens of the Stone Age, they started touring in 1998. They had their big break when they released their second album, Rated R, in 2000 and got the opportunity to open for Foo Fighters, The Smashing Pumpkins and other high-profile bands. An invite for Ozzfest 2000 came shortly after.
My third time seeing QOTSA live and as expected, they delivered! I truly believe they’re one of the best live rock bands in the business right now. They only seem to be getting better. Thanks for the memories QOTSA.
An amazing show start to finish. The opening act, The Struts could easily headline their own successful tour. Their front man knows how to get an audience going! Queens if the Stone Age put on an incredible show. The connection with the audience was right! Trading off the lead guitars was incredible. Both frontman Josh Homme and Troy Van Leeuwen can shred with the best of them! The music was amazing and their stage presents held the audience in the palms of their hands. The encore blew everyone away. I left wanting more!!!
These dudes rock in the studio and rock even harder on stage, would 110% go and see them again and again and again! 🤘
Great show! The opener, The Struts, put on a hell of a show. Worthy of being the headliner. The not only warmed up the crowd, but dare I say, out performed the queens of the Stone Age. Not to say that we were disappointed by the headliner, it was just a different energy and feel from the opener. Only reason for the 4/5 star review, was the fact of the 1 hour intermission in between acts, regardless of the very impressive stage tear down and build up, and sound checks complete in just under 20 mins.
It was as if the drummer captured the souls of the audience on a wire, the way everyone shuddered. could of done without whoever couldn't resist a puff every fifteen minutes though 😕
I've seen this band 4 times this was the best they ever sounded the light show was amazing and a full 2 hr 20 song set .
Some things are special and need to be experienced in person, so go, leave your phone in your pocket and lose yourself in the sound of the best performing rock type band out there.

Very generous band -> They asked the crowd 3-4 times what songs they wanted and played them no problem. Great "choose your own adventure"concert.
First of all, hats off to The Struts who put on an incredible show as an opening act and really got the crowd going. The singer is quite the entertainer. As for QOTSA, they rocked hard and truly seemed to be having a blast themselves. The sound was good and the performance was generous. We had seats and never sat down. Great show.
One of if not the best shows I've ever seen!! Unbelievable sound, lights, and set! 5 stars.
QOTSA alway delivers. The show was great, and Place Bell is the right size for this type of show, a bigger arena would have been too big. I'd watch that band live again and again.

In a world full of cardboard cutout boring same old, the Queens of the Stone Age really stand out as truly talented originals. They did not disappoint on Tuesday April 9 at Slush Puppy Place in Kingston. An amazing show all around. Loved it! 🤟🍻
First time that I've went to a concert specifically to see the opening act! The Struts put on a great show! They were a great warm up for QOTSA who were also amazing! Great interaction with the fans! 👍👍

The band played their new album, which I thought was okay, but then rocked through their older hits. They put on a tight show. The stage lighting was right on the mark. Josh’s audience banter was light and somewhat potted, and they seemed to have forgotten which city they were in (which they poked fun at with a “hello Cleveland !”). I gave this three stars because of the lousy mix—really disappointing, actually. The sound was muddy and vocals were buried. I was on the floor and walked around to different spots. Was the sound man on vacation tonight?
This was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. I left this concert a bigger fan than I was before the show.
