On Thursday there were staff preventing patrons in the lower grandstand from accessing betting windows/concessions/restrooms on the second level the entire day. We were forced under the grandstand where there was only one food option.
It's a great event. You get all of the benefits of Derby day without the huge crowd. The shuttles from the Expo Ctr make the experience great. It's a fun day of racing. So exhilarating!
Thurby is an incredible experience. It’s an affordable way to experience the glamour and spectacle of the Kentucky Derby, but with out the crush of 150,000 fans. Every one we met was friendly and excited to be there. The event was extremely well organized and run.
Everything was perfect execution. Even with the rain it was a wonderful experience!
They’ve done a good job with the paddock area and overall grounds. However, drinks and concessions are ridiculously expensive, wires were hanging down from the roof on 3rd floor impeding our view and it’s impossible to read the tote board showing the results (they could put them on the big screen and solve the problem but they don’t do it).
The seats were amazing perfect view and we were close to everything both food and beverage!!
Our 6 seats were very nice undercover and a view of the finish line.
Same seats for years. No notice of change to the areas we have had access for many years. And prices have gotten outrageous on everything. Thursby
Was a great time but the food could have been better. Definitely going next year.
Stadium seating was perfect. Terrific view of races. Love seeing all the fashions. General atmosphere and environment was fabulous. Would definitely go again.
