On 502’s Day Tuesday we stood in line two different times at The Homestretch Dining trying to get food. We never did get any. I don’t know if they sold too many tickets for the dining or what. We have never had trouble at different derby week dining through the years except Tuesday. Sad!
It was terrible from start to finish. We have been to the track every Derby week for 50 years. This was by far the worst experience. Bus from fairgrounds had NO air conditioning. Several people in back almost passed out. It took 90 minutes to get through line to homestretch terrace once we were through the main gate. Took another 60 minutes to get through food line. They ran out of food at 2:30. Buffet was supposed to be open until 4. Food menu was really terrible. I had never had a bad meal at Churchill until this experience. It was awful. Please save your money!
The day was filled with fun and excitement without the crowds for the Oaks and Derby. We had great seats and the food and drinks were included in the price. We will make this an annual tradition

The venue is nice and the staff is great. The food was very lackluster.
