Wonderful staff
by Stephalopolis on 10/25/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasHaving an entity (HOB) inside another entity (Mandalay Bay) can be difficult as they are beholden to the other operation’s rules. Things that are normally standard for music venues (lining up, hanging with friends, etc.) are outside the norm for casinos. That’s why I want to give a huge thank you and shout out to Michael in the box office and Christina in security for working with the dedicated fans to make sure that entrance to the show went smoothly. This was an instantly sold out reunion show of a band that has not been around in 20 years and as should be anticipated, dedicated fans came early to make sure good views were secured (as poor sight-lines are one of my biggest complaints about HOB buildings). Michael took on many questions and concerns after Mandalay Bay was stopping early gathering, and he did so with fairness and good service and assisted in bringing up concerns with Christina and her security team. Christina was amazing. She was tough and very much stayed in standard with rules and regulations, but she recognized the concerns that were brought up about a mad rush to the queue/door from the casino floor if there was not some semblance of order. She assisted in making sure everyone stayed safe, that there was no running nor rush to the official queue line, our self-created queue line stayed in tact, and that we all proceeded slowly and calmly through the queue and entrance. She was friendly to us, but we also knew she was tough and fair and there would be no getting around the rules she set in place. She directed her security team wonderfully and every interaction we had with her team was great and proceeded smoothly. I had no concerns about the screening process and every interaction I had with a House of Blues staff member went wonderfully. They were calm, fair, polite, friendly, and helpful.
