About

Greta Van Fleet in Concert

In three years, Greta Van Fleet went from touring the grimy rock bars of Detroit and Saginaw to headlining shows on five continents with audiences triple their hometown’s population. The band that once attracted crowds of teens to improvised forest concerts, have now sold over one million tickets worldwide. Stadiums in Italy are a far cry from a field strewn with pick-up trucks, framed by the canopy of tall coniferous trees, where they learned to love an audience. Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater is a world away from the tiny Midwestern bars where they got their start (before they were even of legal drinking age). From Frankenmuth to a tour bus across America, then their first ever flight to Europe, their newest album The Battle at Garden’s Gate, released April 16, 2021, is a reflection of their journey into the present.

So many have been positioned as the future, we’ve forgotten how to recognize the real thing. Expectations may run high, but Greta Van Fleet is indifferent to opinion. The band doesn’t have to say a certain thing or act a certain way to convince anyone of their capacity. All they have to do is play.

Great show except for one opener

by MiniCoopGuy on 5/5/24T-Mobile Center - Kansas City

We had not been to a show at the T-Mobile center in quite sometime. It appears the food options changed and finding variety was difficult. Honestly, not a huge fan of the food and beverage availability at this venue compared to other similar sized arenas throughout the US that we’ve been to. As for the show, Greta Van Fleet was amazing. Great rock show, and everyone seem to have a good time. The one opening band, Geese, was absolutely terrible. Many people around us booing and I’ve read other people online say it was terrible as well. At least it wasn’t just us. The initial opener, Moridor, was great and they should be the main headliner. It’s our second second Greta Van Fleet show and it’s always an enjoyable experience. The venue amenities lacked compared to others we’ve been to, but that doesn’t detract from how great the show was from Greta Van Fleet.

    Way Better Than Expected

by Bread on 5/5/24T-Mobile Center - Kansas City

I think they were completely worth the money. My mom and I went to see them and she came out of the arena telling me that the next time we see them that she's buying the tickets and we're getting in the pit. Their opening acts were fantastic, the drum solo was on par with Bonham and Peart, and the overall showmanship was splendid. Many compliments to these guys!

    Awesome

by David M on 5/5/24T-Mobile Center - Kansas City

I missed the first opener and made it for Geese. They were great. Greta Van Fleet is in my top 5 concerts at the time of writing this. The performance was phenomenal. Josh Kiszka has an amazing voice. 10/10 I'd attend another concert given the chance.

    Best. Show. Ever.

by Brianna Kush on 5/5/24Chaifetz Arena - St. Louis

Greta Van Fleet is the best band I've ever seen live. Not only are they extremely exhilarating to watch, they are full of pure talent. The whole arena exuded love. The way I was BAWLING the entire time was borderline embarrassing.. but I'd do it all over again 1,000,000 times. And I think I will.

I didn’t know what to expect it was a Decent Concert. The opening acts Mirador and The Geese were Not My Type Of Music.

by Gentry on 5/3/24Pinnacle Bank Arena - Lincoln

We have wanted to see this band for quite a while, and they did not disappoint! They were excellent! The music was true to the recordings but with a really nice live flair added. The stage effects were spectacular! Timed perfectly to add a punch to the awesome sound mix! We would highly recommend this show.

    An Electric and Golden Performance

by Gabby on 5/2/24Chaifetz Arena - St. Louis

I’ve been to my fair share of concerts, and all of them have been some of my favorite artists. However, this was the best concert I have attended so far. My love for Greta was multiplied because of how much effort and energy was put into the performance. You can really tell how much they all love their fans, and how much they appreciate them. Greta I’ve been following you since 2018, and to see you flourish the way you have (especially in person) has been a mesmerizing experience. Much love to the Kiska’s and Danny 🩷

    Greta Van Fleet Fun!

by Bodean67 on 5/2/24Pinnacle Bank Arena - Lincoln

Greta Van Fleet is a must see visual band to hear in person! They had kick ass pyro technics! The sound board did their job to make the speakers they have hanging in the house audibly nice to hear the words sung out. The PBA seemed to have adequate security to feel safe. Although their were lines to where you were going, the wait didn't seem that bad, as they seemed to flow pretty good! Hardly, if not any wait for a drink or snack, that was a bonus for sure, except the price of a cup of beer is the same cost for a six or 12 pack in stores! Not good for your wallet, drink before you go for sure! Seating was a good view for us, as we could see ok, along with the big screens they had on each side to help. Overall, the experience of purchasing a ticket from Ticketmaster seems to be easy if you know the venue seating layout, and willing to pay astronomical prices to see or hear a band depending where you sit. The shame in the digital age today compared to the 80's 7 90's is it may or may not be convenient to scan a bar code apposed to ripping an end off of a paper ticket, which in it's self is a memento to look back at in a picture fame. The merchandise of anything, from the good ol' concert shirt, to a cd or album has gone up substantially! To me, it will continue, so it can help pay the band and it's members who produce that stuff. Lets just hope the quality does not?! The length of this show from the beginning band, to the main band, lasted about 4 hours, with short intermissions. Greta took stage at about 9pm or ish, and ended about 11pmish. I know sometimes we wish the concert would just keep going, but it's gotta be also tiering for band members to be standing, moving and hydrated to keep up the shows entertainment, so 2 or so hours seems like a good main band time frame to have. Now that I experienced Great Van Fleet, I will go see them again if they come to Lincoln Nebraska's PBA. Actually, any band that schedules there I like, I will try to go see, as it may be the last time they come around to see?! Thank you Ticketmaster and the promoters who make it possible to go see a concert! Your reputation of tenure is good, but it's just a shame the prices are a thing of inflation that will never be the same as days gone by, where you paid a fair price for a decent seat, and got a paper ticket for a souvenir, not a digital bar code that goes away after the show, unless you lose your ticket also! Lol

The Greta Van Fleet Concert was Spectacular

by The General Fremont on 5/2/24Pinnacle Bank Arena - Lincoln

When I first saw that Greta Van Fleet was coming to Lincoln, NE at the Pinnacle Bank Arena I just had to get tickets. The buying of and using the tickets through the Ticketmaster App was so easy even a 62 year old guy like myself could do it with ease. We got to the PBA April 30th at about 5:45pm. The doors were supposed to open at 5:30, but didn't until about 6:30. However the weather was nice and once the line started moving it went very quickly. We were treated with the opening of Mirador, and Jake Kiszka and his band didn't disappoint. Next up was Geese AN AMERICAN BAND, it sounded like a brand new garage band trying to figure out how to piece and band together. In fact we used that as an opportunity to go to the bathroom and drink a beverage in the lobby area. They happened to be throwing some empty bottles in the trash, and I had to ask my wife if that was the band or if it really was them throwing out bottles. If that would have been to only opening act I would have been disappointed. But the main attraction was well worth the wait! Greta Van Fleet was one of the better shows I have seen in a while. The pyrotechnics, and high energy, driving music was phenomenal. The special surprise of the back stage and performance in it made it an extra special treat. If you have the opportunity to see Greta Van Fleet I highly recommend that you do. If you get the opportunity to get your tickets Through the Ticketmaster App you should it overall was an extremely great experience...

    Awesome! . . . except for that middle bit . . .

by TommyJames on 5/1/24Chaifetz Arena - St. Louis

I am familiar with Greta Van Fleet from being introduced to them by my youngest daughter. My initial impression of them was that they had a Led Zeppelin/Jefferson Airplane vibe and sound. I can dig that. I knew she was really excited to be able to see them, so when I saw that they were coming to St Louis, I HAD to get tickets. Fast forward to the day of the show. My daughter and her boyfriend opted to come to this show above their Junior Prom. They were dressed for the occasion and primed for a great show. They enjoyed the awesomeness of Mirador. I also thought they really brought the rock and showed that, even though this was their first live performance, that they are going to be a force to reckon with for years! Then . . . . Well . . . . There was Geese. The thing that crossed my mind is that they were an experimental prog rock kind of act. Initially, I was meh on them. Then I was just ready for them to be done . . . after their first song. I can't speak for the rest of that band, but my impression is that their vocalist was high or nervous. Maybe both. In a word: bleah. Then . . . It was all better. Greta Van Freakin' Fleet hit the stage and dominated throughout the entire set! (As a Management and Marketing major it crossed my mind that Geese was put there to make GVF that much better by comparison. That would have been wholly unnecessary, FYI.) From the opening pyro to the closing reverberations of the instruments throughout the arena, I was transfixed. Just sheer awesomeness! The songs were great! (I can scarcely carry a tune in a bucket and I am not familiar enough with the lyrics, so singing along was out of the question for me.) The solos were absolutely transcendent. Amazing Drums! Epic Guitar! We particularly enjoyed the intimate set on the small stage right below us. GVF's rendition of Unchained Melody was respectful to the original, but also their own. End to end, the set was tremendous. I would come to see Greta Van Fleet again any time. Thanks for the awesome memories and making my daughter extremely happy to see her favorite band.

    Fire

by Jester on 5/1/24Chaifetz Arena - St. Louis

Greta van Fleet put on an amazing show tonight! Their sound was great and the stage with pyrotechnics was energizing, to say the least. GvF’s stage presence was also stellar. Their opening act, Mirador, was surprisingly impressive. Unfortunately, the second band, geese, stole 45 minutes of our lives that we will never get back. There was nothing redeeming about this band - the sound, the singing, the stage presence, the name, the logo - all were very, very bad. It was torture just to get through one set. Why GvF would ever share a stage with them is unbeknownst to me. Do yourself a favor and skip this so-called band.
