ZZ Top Concert Schedule

ZZ Top is a legendary American rock band known for their blues-infused rock music, bawdy lyrics and long, red beards. ZZ Top tours include the 2017 Tonnage Tour, 2016 Hell Raisers Tour, and the 2013 La Futura Tour. ZZ Top live shows leave the audience laughing dancing and feeling like they are at a jam session with close friends, instead of a concert headlined by rock and roll legends. Their massive success has allowed all of their albums to reach gold or platinum status. The band's best selling album is 1983's Eliminator, which spawned the hit singles "Legs" and "Sharped Dress Man." The album went on to sell 10 million units, reaching diamond status and the 25 million records they've sold in the U.S. makes them one of the top 100 selling artists in the country. ZZ Top has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004.

ZZ Top Background

ZZ Top formed in 1969 in Houston Texas with guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbon, organist Lanier Greig and drummer Dan Mitchell. The name of the band came from Gibbons combining the names of B.B. King and Z.Z. Hill, when he noticed that many artists used their initials as their band's name. When ZZ King seemed too close to the originals he changed it to ZZ Top. The current lineup of the band consists of bassist and lead vocalist Dusty Hill, Billy Gibbon and drummer Frank Beard. ZZ Top's signature sound can best be described as blues-infused rock with elements of punk rock and new wave added through their use synthesizers. While Eliminator was the band's most successful album with 10 million albums sold, 1985's Afterburner was their highest charting album. All the singles from Afterburner were Top 40 hits and the album itself went on to sell five million copies. Other Top 40 singles include 1975's "Tush," 1977's "I Thank You," and 1981's "Gimme All Your Lovin'"Follow ZZ Top on social media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook.

The band was great but the venue was horrible. Couldn't even see the band at all. Will never go there again

    Freezing

by The mike on 4/30/24Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

Band was fine, just that it was colder than usual with a nasty wind , but also had to deal with drunken women seated behind us talking as loud as possible, clearly not there to see the show, then there was the fire alarm that ended the show?

    Awesome ZZ Top concert

by Ralph Flores on 4/30/24Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

Great concert with a very energetic crowd. The only hiccup was when someone pulled the fire alarm, but the boys did not miss a beat!

    Great show!

by Jules on 4/30/24Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

ZZ Top put on a great show..it appeared that they were having a blast performing. The sound quality at the venue wasn’t the best, (probably due to the size?) but a great time was had by all!

    Terrible Concert

by Mike on 4/30/24Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

Extremely disappointed, ZZ is way too old, sounds terrible. No show to speak of, unless you count some stupid bubbles. Didn’t even play his most popular songs. My friend who was with me has been to around 350 concerts and he said this was one of the worst he has ever seen. Love the music, but don’t see ZZ in concert anymore, waste of time and money. I was embarrassed to have brought my friends to this travesty.

only played for 1 hr 20 minutes

by Jim on 4/30/24Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

ZZ did not start until 9:20 and sometime during the set a fire alarm came on telling us all to leave, that lasted for almost 10 minutes. We were all looking at each other wondering if we should leave. The staff also was looking at each other and not saying a word??? STRANGE!! ZZ finished there set at 10:40. We were so disappointed at how short the set was. For the short time they were playing they were fantastic.

    80s Fan

by Juju on 4/30/24Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

ZZ Top Awesome!! My seats were in the 3rd row- not cheap. A drunk idiot in front of me kept standing & holding up his beer blocking my view of the stage. There was a Security Guard sitting 3 feet away- who let that go on plus people come up to the front row to linger & take pictures and video during the show- not cool. When you pay a premium, nearly 1k for 2 seats, you should be able to see the whole show. Otherwise- loved it! Do wish the chairs in the venue were a bit further apart.

Show was stopped due to fire alarm

by Greg H on 4/30/24Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

The venue had the fire alarm go off in the middle of show. No announcements or guidance from staff. House lights never came on. The venue, Vino Robles Amphitheater just ignored what was happening and literally left us in the dark. ZZ Top left the stage when the alarm started. Other than that, the show was good. Billy can still rock out with the best of them.

    Fantastic show

by Upfromla on 4/30/24Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

ZZ Top is one of the defining rock bands of my era. You won't three guys produce a sound like that anywhere else. They opened with Got Me Under Pressure and the show just got better from there. The new bass player filled in admirably for Dusty and Billy Gibbons just seems to get better with age.

    Disappointed

by Alntresa on 4/30/24Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

The ushers and entry security staff were wonderful! ZZTOP, disappointing. We had a "fire alarm"which delayed the show. Music was so loud, it was distorted and painful to hear this great group which I've loved over the years. ( on the radio and spotify) They did not play "Legs"... Disappointing😥. Drunks were annoying. We probly won't go back to this venue😔.

Loved the show and want to see them again. Fans from all generations made it a fun event. First time going to a concert at a casino, and enjoyed the gaming and ability to stay after the show.

    Disappointing

by Sunshine on 4/30/24Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

Three guys came out to open for ZZ Top. One stated his name. The other two were introduced by name after playing more songs. Never announced what name of their band was? They were good - played for half hour. We then sat there for another half hour while some ladies voice did a count down every 5 minutes saying "30 minutes to Gold"., etc. ZZ finally started at 9 pm. They were good - played until exactly 10 pm when fire alarms started going off and ladies voice came over PA on repeat for 5 minutes saying something about exiting in orderly manner, etc. People got confused. ZZ left the stage saying they were going to "check it out"and people stared leaving. ZZ came back on in different outfits 5 minutes later and played 2-3 more songs. Left the stage again without saying much and people were then again confused until the lights came up and venue music came on. Very disappointing. And to top it off, they didn't play "Legs"!

Good show by the Old little band from Texas

by Ektorg72 on 4/30/24Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

ZZ Top was awesome! Day was looking good, show started on time, but with an opening act. It takes time for the staff to set up ZZ Top and suddenly started getting windy and cold. Towards the end, the fire alarm went off and the show was over.

    They've still got it

by JDV on 4/30/24Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

ZZ Top can still rip it up. Saw the band in Paso Robles. Opening act was very good but they never posted their name or introduced the name of the band. Billy Gibbons, Frank Beard still making great music. Elwood Francis took over for Dusty Hill and did a great job. Would highly recommend seeing them soon, who knows how much longer they'll tour.
