Sons of the East are an indie folk act from Sydney, Australia. Nick Johnston, Dan Wallage and Jack Rollins formed the trio in 2011 and released their self-titled debut EP in 2013 on the heels of lead single “Come Away.” Following two more EPs — 2015’s Already Gone and 2019’s Burn Right Through — as well as a full-length compilation, the band released their debut studio album, Palomar Parade, in the fall of 2022. The following year, Sons of the East unveiled the deluxe edition of the album and embarked on a 40-date tour of North America and Europe after releasing the standalone single “Hard to Tell.” In 2024, the trio will head out on a headlining tour of Australia in support of their latest single “Head Above the Water.”

Amazing live band wish they come back again just blown away how well they played together been following them for a couple years hoping they would stop in the Twin Cities and I got my wish🎸🎸👍🏻😎
It was one of the best performances I have ever seen. Sons of the East bring their A game everytime. Venue was great as well with a memorable experience all around. The staff, food, drinks and concert area were outstanding. I can't wait to see SOE again! J5
Sons Of The East is just an amazing band! Incredible performers, great stage presence, and most of all, fabulous songs... I love these guys so much. They put on a great show at the Amsterdam Bar in St. Paul, which is also a really nice place. While these guys are so good that I'd expect to see them at a 10,000 seat venue, the intimacy of being in a small room with them made this a show I'll never forget.
Sons of the East were awesome. Live in another state but worth the drive.... they will do great things! Thanks for signing my shirt!!
These guys brought it. They are clearly happy to perform, having fun, and enjoying playing with each other. The small environment at the Bronson Center in Ottawa was perfect for them. Awesome talent, awesome songs to sing along to. Really pull you in. Super fun. Just go see them.
I have seen fair share of concerts and I can say without hesitation that Sons of the east is by far one of the best performing bands out there. The atmosphere, the songs, the band members, everything was just perfect. If I didn’t already have plans, I would have drove down to Ottawa to watch them again!
Sons of the east put on a great show. This was their first stop of their North American tour. They really enjoyed themselves on stage. They also appreciated all the love from the fan. A group to see again and again!!!
Honestly, it was great. Good band live, good energy, good songs and sound. Only three turn-offs: the (main) lead singer pit our city's concert against another's (which we'd also gone to and wasn't worse); he pretended not to understand the word "y'all," even though it's in one of their songs; and he literally did Instagram poses the *entire show*. No, literally, I have no photos in which he's not flexing his arms, putting his leg up on a speaker, playing his guitar too high, or looking painfully artistically moody. Unless (and even if) someone asked him to do that, it was distracting and pretty gross. But you know what, kudos to him for being able to keep that up while performing. Second lead vocalist is a cool guy (and has a stupid pretty voice). Like I said, though--good show.
So glad I was able to attend this concert. I'm a long time fan and was happy when I heard Sons the the East were coming to the United States. What a concert! The venue was fantastic. Very cool and intimate. What a great way to see and hear this band.
