Ottawa Senators History

The original Ottawa Senators were founded in 1883 and were one of the founding teams of the NHL during its early years, winning 11 Stanley Cup Championships between 1903 and 1927. When the NHL started to expand to the U.S., the Senators were sold to St. Louis and became the Eagles, but the team shuttered after one year. The second incarnation of the Senators joined the NHL in 1992. The Senators have since gone on to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs 16 times.

  • A little confusing

by Richard on 4/1/25Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 3 out of 5

Ok I’m an old guy , so your system with the app was a little confusing . It worked well . It was an Ottawa game , parking was also an app system and very expensive . Alcohol drinks very expensive , sound system way too loud . Customer service was great ! Would I go again … maybe .

  • Senators games are awesome

by Missing Linc on 3/26/25Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 5 out of 5

Going to an Ottawa Senators game is always a great experience. From the ease of getting to the game until it's time to head home, I enjoy everything. The arena is great, I have never had a bad seat. The staff at the arena are always helpful and friendly. It will be sad when they move the arena to an area myself, my family, and my friends will not go to.

  • Great game

by Hunter on 3/5/25Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 5 out of 5

Been to many Sens games, always a great time. This was the first win I got to watch and the CTC was exceptionally loud with a more than sold out crowd. It was Sanderson bobble head giveaway night with the hamburglar also being in attendance.

  • Exiting parking lot with my car took forever.

by Bobby on 2/25/25Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 1 out of 5

No comment on the game but exiting parking lot was ridiculous. 45 minutes on not moving at all. Not going back there again

  • Excluded

by Keyfan on 2/5/25Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 3 out of 5

First, the event was great. No issues with 6-0 win. But the factvthat there is no re-entry, that is a game changer. I am confused why you don't have a designated smoking arra or allow for those who smoke to go and have one with their beer during intermission. Especially if you extend those intermission. It's almost like not having an inclusive environment In our nation's capital.

  • Throwback Classic at the CTC

by JC on 1/21/25Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 5 out of 5

Saw Boston/Ottawa on a Saturday afternoon. I don’t usually like afternoon games but this one was a classic. Ottawa was down 5-3 with 8 minutes left and came back to win it in the shootout. The crowd was into it and the building was full. My seven year old daughter who is a fair weather fan had an absolute blast. Worth the price of admission for a fun day.

  • “ Worst NHL game I ever saw.

by Tim on 1/12/25Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 1 out of 5

“ Worst NHL game I ever saw. Ottawa Senators played pathetically against a weak Buffalo Sabres team that simply out hustled them.
