Ottawa Senators History
The original Ottawa Senators were founded in 1883 and were one of the founding teams of the NHL during its early years, winning 11 Stanley Cup Championships between 1903 and 1927. When the NHL started to expand to the U.S., the Senators were sold to St. Louis and became the Eagles, but the team shuttered after one year. The second incarnation of the Senators joined the NHL in 1992. The Senators have since gone on to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs 16 times.

Located in Kanata, a vibrant suburb of Ottawa, Canadian Tire Centre(Opens in new tab) is one of the region's premier entertainment venues. Since opening in 1996, the arena has served as the home of the Ottawa Senators. Capable of hosting 18,000 fans for hockey games, the arena is also regularly used for concerts and other sports events. In 2007, the arena hosted games three and four of the Stanley Cup Finals. The arena is also known for being the place where Wayne Gretzky played his final NHL game in Canada.

The Canadian Tire Centre is a great venue. The NHL finals game 4 between the Ottawa Senators and the Pittsburgh Penguins was a great game. A real nail biter to the end. The Pens won
Less than expected from fans

We both got hamburgers. They were totally tasteless. The staff was awesome tho. Bathrooms were tidy. We had seats behind the penalty box. These seats are so narrow it was very uncomfortable. Which seemed odd that seats that cost so much were so tiny. I found the fans to be VERY rude. Funny how you go to a game , spend a ton of money and get yelled at. I'll keep my money at other stadiums in the future.
Excellent game
by Pedrito67 on 3/9/17Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 4 out of 5I was for my job (airliner) 2 days in Montréal and decided to rent a car and drive to Ottawa to see the game, I was also amazed by the thousands of Bruins fans who went to the game (mainly as the game was played on a regular monday evening) most of them sitting on the best seats.

The traffic was much better this time
by Clare2904 on 11/24/16Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 4 out of 5The last time I was here for the Canada v USA pre tournament game the traffic was horrendous when leaving but after this game it took me less than 5 minutes to get from the arena to the 417E. The only problem I have with these seats is the glass at the top of the stairwell, it can sometimes be a distraction from the game. Overall for the price you cannot really complain.
First Game

We had less expensive seats but could still see the game pretty well. Sound system and music was good. Love the organ music! Seats were too tight - even if I was a smaller person, with a coat it was especially tricky.
