LETTUCE is (a) the prime ingredient in a salad, (b) a slang for cash, (c) a green herb that can be smoked, (d) a genre-busting six-member musical collective formed in 1992 by four alumni of the prestigious Berklee College Of Music, or (e) all of the above. If you answered "e," then you're in on the sheer magic of a band that both feeds the rich history of funk and combines it with strains of hip-hop, rock, psychedelia, jazz, soul, jam, go-go, and the avant-garde.
The GRAMMY Award-nominated six-piece is comprised of Adam Deitch [drums, percussion, arrangement], Adam "Shmeeans" Smirnoff [guitar], Erick "Jesus" Coomes [bass], Ryan Zoidis [alto, baritone, tenor sax, Korg X-911], Eric "Benny" Bloom [trumpet, horns], and Nigel Hall [vocals, Hammond B-3, Rhodes, clavinet, keyboards]. To date, their discography includes Outta Here [2002], Rage! [2008], Fly [2012], Crush [2015], the EP Mt. Crushmore [2016], the live album Witches Stew [2017], Elevate [2019], Resonate [2020], Unify [2022], and now VIBE - a single 48 minute continuous session of pure, free-flowing improvisation, available digitally for the first time.
With VIBE, Lettuce cement their status as boundary-pushing innovators three decades into their lauded career, blurring lines and smashing up jazz chords, psychedelic passages, big horns, strains of soul and go-go, hip-hop elements for an uplifting, improvisational sound all their own. Ryan Zoidis explains, "we got into a vibe and hit record. 48 minutes went by like a blink of an eye. This is our first purely improvised recording. Nothing planned, nothing edited or overdubbed. This is a true spontaneous musical expression captured in its entirety."
All together now... Lett us VIBE.

Excellent venue and Lettuce and Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio were excellent!! Top notch.
Nice venue, limited seating - which did not matter as soon as Lettuce took the stage! Staff friendly, helpful. Only wish band had started a bit earlier... but they are tight no matter what time of day. Would def go again.
There XL Live oys a great venue. Family phriendly. Staff amd bartenders were nice. Delvin Lamarr Organ Trio lit the place up with funk. Lettuce absolutely the best live band touring today. They deserved that Grammy.
Outstanding funk band in a small venue! Great band for a great value.
I saw Lettuce at the Mercury Ballroom in Louisville on Jan 28th. We traveled from Columbus, Ohio to see the show. First time I have been in the venue and loved how it was set up. It was crowded but not packed. Had enough personal space on the floor. We were surrounded by polite charged up fans who obviously followed the band. The performance was outstanding and the lights were way cool. We enjoyed it very much. I hope they come to Columbus, Ohio soon.
If you like GREAT progressive music you have to see them! Saw them sunday nite at the Ponte Vedra concert hall for a solid 1 1/2 hour show that probably would have lasted longer if not for local policies. They played ELEVATE in full and much more. The light show also impressed. DON'T DENY YOURSELF.....SEE THIS BAND!
My first Lettuce concert will always be a wonderful memory. I love the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall and hope to catch many more shows there!
Perfect venue to see Lettuce perform. After seeing them several times at outdoor music festivals I was excited to see them at the PVMH. Lights on point, sound system rocked, and the band delivered as always. Great time!!
Lights, music, band, atmosphere were dope. Nice free parking. Getting out of lot after show was relatively painless as well.
Meet and greet was spectacular! Thought GA in a seated was interesting. Great venue! Awesome light show; audio mix was fantastic. Lettuce played a phenomenal show with variations of classics and new music! 🤘🤘🤘❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
I knew it would be a good show but didn’t realize how much fun it would actually be. I’ve listened to quite a few of their studio albums and live recordings over the years. This is such an incredibly talented group of musicians who have a fantastic chemistry coupled with a top notch light show. Highly recommend seeing them and will definitely catch them again next time they’re in the area.
First time seeing Lettuce and the energy that they bring to the stage is amazing. Always been a fan of the sax and to hear Lettuce integrate into all of the music was cool. Stanley Theater is easy to get to and hope that they continue to offer the variety of music.
Would definitely recommend this venue and this band. Had a great time!
Both Ghost Note and Lettuce are amazing musicians and put on a really fun show. Danced for hours!
As always Lettuce brought some serious funk to Philly! Great show!
The stage lighting was a real overkill. It was like they were replacing the lack of a lead singer with a huge unnecessary light show. I want to see the musicians playing the music and not some silhouette of the band members while the music is playing. I have a couple of their albums so I know they are good musicians with maturity in their music but unfortunately the band members refused to be the star of their own show. Special effects were half of the show. If you music is good then it should stand up without all of those effects. Lose the effect and maybe I will return but that concert was a waste of my time and money.
I’ve been to many shows and these guys are awesome! Top 5 for me!!
Getting in was easy. Show was superb. Ghost Note and Lettuce are both lit. Lights and sound were excellent. Please bring them back!
It’s been on our list to experience Lettuce in person. It was worth to do it and would do it agin!
Full of energy. The last show of this leg of the tour and lettuce killed it.
