About

Dionne Warwick in ConcertĀ

When you see Dionne Warwick perform, you know you're in the presence of pop-music royalty. This is a woman who's remained one of America's top hitmakers throughout multiple eras, contributing classic songs one after another. At the same time, Warwick radiates the warmth that lies at the core of her legendary hits, and for all of her undeniable elegance, her onstage presence couldn't be more natural and down-to-earth. Despite the many decades Warwick has been bringing her unique brand of pop to the stage and studio, her sultry, hypnotic voice remains undiminished. Hearing her deliver songs she made famous, like "I Say a Little Prayer" and "What the World Needs Now Is Love," is like opening a love letter from another era that bears just as much of an emotional impact today as it did back then.

Dionne Warwick Background

Though she's one of the world's premier pop singers, Dionne Warwick actually started out as a gospel singer with The Drinkard Singers and The Gospelaires. In the early 1960s, however, she crossed paths with iconic songwriting team Burt Bacharach and Hal David. The two men were working on sophisticated pop material and they found the voice that matched their vision in Warwick. Her recordings of tunes like "Walk on By" and "I'll Never Fall in Love Again" led to huge successes for both the singer and the songwriters, while helping to define the era in pop music along the way. That in itself would be enough to ensure Warwick's place in history, but she kept reinventing herself in the decades to come with hits like 1971's "Then Came You," 1982's "Heartbreaker," and 1985's "That's What Friends Are For," proving that her talent was bound to no single time period.

It is good, her voice has the same charisma but you can tell she is having difficulty now due to her age. her granddaughter has a great voice and has a future. Her son has a good voice too! They are really a musically minded family with famous music voice.

We had 2nd row seats and enjoy seeing Dionne close up

by Lulu on 4/30/24Sound Waves at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City - Atlantic City

We liked that her granddaughter started off the show with her lovely voice, her son came on later with his beautiful voice and the 3 of them sang together and the end of the show. Since we are both in our 70's, we enjoyed hearing Dionne sing the songs we grew up listening to.

Dionne Warwick was fantastic. She brought back so many memories. Her Granddaughter and her son also were great. The standing ovation she received at the end of the show was well deserved. Yes Dionne, I Will Never Love This Way Again. Great Show.

    Charming, butā€¦.

by Gibsongirl on 4/29/24Sound Waves at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City - Atlantic City

Her timeless songs are still wonderful, the musicians in the band are excellent, but Dionne has no voice left. She had with her a granddaughter and son, both great vocalists and Dionne is charmingā€”- but her famous voice is gone. šŸ™

    One of favoriteā€™s singers.

by Captain Manny on 4/29/24Sound Waves at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City - Atlantic City

I attempted numerous times to attend her concert (Brooklyn, Las Vegas, Washington DC, Glasgow), finally I did so in AC. It was a sentimental moment just listening to her voice. I will certainly cherish this moment for years to come.

    A WONDERFUL SHOW - DIDN'T DISAPPOINT!

by Rusty on 4/25/24The Wind Creek Event Center - Bethlehem

I've seen her twice in the past - a long time ago, but given her age, her voice is still strong & beautiful. She sang all her 'greats' as well as spoke to the audience about her past & the history behind some of the songs. Made it quite interesting. Also enjoyed her son & grand-daughter performance.

    Message to Michael

by BobT on 4/24/24The Wind Creek Event Center - Bethlehem

Warm and personable Ms Warwick did Not disappoint!!! At age 83 her voice is lower but still beautiful . Her stories were touching, she picked all the songs that I wanted to hear, early hits! Her granddaughter opened with a beautiful voice, still young, I Wanna Dance with Somebody! Then brought out Dionnesā€™ Son (what a voice!) We were in 18th row, good view, but seats are on a floor, not rising. The good news-regarding seats. the folding chairs are soft plastic. Thank you. Staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable folding chair. I weigh 250 lbs. My only complaint. There was a woman, middle age, obvious fan, was screaming (I mean I had to hold my ear. Didnā€™t want to cause bad vibes in such a loving atmosphere, but šŸ˜± screaming for such a gentle performer! was truly not right (especially since it was directly behind me!). She has Dionne to thank for this longtime fan - using restraint. What a wonderful evening!

    Dionne 4/19/24

by sinyorosso on 4/24/24The Wind Creek Event Center - Bethlehem

Attending Dionne Warwick concert at Wind Creek Casino was a positive experience to see a legendary music performer. The venue was a typical auditorium setting . Seats were plastic folding chairs that were satisfactory to view the show. The staff at the concert were courteous and professional . Accessing my tickets from my cellphone was easy. I would definitely attend future events at this venue.
