Come From Away on Tour

The true story of the small town that welcomed the world.

Broadway's COME FROM AWAY has won Best Musical all across North America!

The New York Times Critics' Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.

Don't miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony® nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year's Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, "It takes you to a place you never want to leave!"

On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.

  • Excellent Performance

"Come From Away"depicted the role of our Canadian neighbors in a true wsy. Having traveled to Newfoundland and visited Gander throughout the years. I know the people there are sime of the most giving I have had the pleasure of meeting. The performers showed this quakity of the Newfoundlanders to the audience. They moved easily from.one character to another while including factual detsils of 9/11. The facility was spotless while plenty of volunteers to assist when necessary.

  • Fantastic show

I loved seeing this show! The acting, singing, plot were all amazing. I could hear well for the most part. We sat on the side this time so we were elevated off the ground floor, and I could see much better that way. It was a little hard on my neck at times, but worth it! I'm so glad these shows are coming to Bangor!

Seemed like it lasted 30 mins. It was so entertaining

  • Great in so many ways!

by EricB on 4/4/25Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

Thouroughly enjoyed this traveling musical. Story, acting, staging, lighting, music, singing, band, wardrobe (simple and effective) were all great. Just amazing how the storyline drew you in and allowed for effective scene changes using only tables and chairs. If I had to say one negiative, the group singing was a little muddy and hard to hear the words. But individual/duet audio was fine.

  • Stellar Performance

The touring cast of Come From Away was excellent! Quite a lot of dialog and song lyrics to memorize and it appeared as though everyone was flawless! The story itself gives hope in the goodness of mankind, globally!

  • Just the best show!

This was our first time at EJ Thomas Performing Arts Hall in Akron, Oh and what a great venue to watch COME FROM AWAY! We had seen this show before in Cleveland and were blown away then and this experience definitely didn't disappoint!! Knowing this show was based on the true events during 9.11 made it more emotional for those of us who went thru those awful days. The cast.. outstanding, the singing...outstanding, the stage/scenery...outstanding. Can't wait to see where we go to see it again!!

Unique way of telling a great story with very few cast members. Well done! Thoroughly enjoyed it all.

  • Slightly different

by Rose on 3/29/25E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - AkronRating: 4 out of 5

I have seen this show 6 times. It was ‘slightly different’ as in several musical numbers had spoken, not sung, parts. It was very good, not great, but I am making an assumption that new cast members have been introduced and perhaps not as strong yet. If that’s the case then with time I expect this touring group to be great.

  • Heart & Soul of Newfoundlanders

by Chris R on 3/29/25E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

Our absolute favorite musical of all time. Such a special show. Any time people ask us why we love Newfoundland & visit so often we tell them to go see this musical. It’s the people. They are so special. This musical brings to the stage the magic of Newfoundlander's.

Fast paced fun funny and tear jerking it covers a part of the September 11 attacks that is rarely thought about. Absolutely an amazing performance but be prepared it is super fast paced especially in the beginning.

  • A fantastic performance!

by MissChevy2 on 3/28/25E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

This was a top-notch production! I've seen the Broadway touring company 2 -3 times, and this was as good as any productions I've seen. In addition to the talented cast, the musicians' curtain call/finale was fantastic! To have the entire auditorium audience standing up, clapping along with the music, was so joyful - and simply fun! A great way to end a great evening. Thank you!

  • Awesome!

  • fantastic, unknown musical

by Jo Ann on 3/28/25E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

I had never heard of this show before and had no idea what it was about, but we bought tickets as a girls night out. Then I read up about the content. I never heard about this really happening during 911. I was pleasantly surprised at what an awesome show this was. I laughed, had tears in my eyes and stood with everyone else at the end in the standing ovation! Highly recommend.

  • Absolutely heartwarming story

by LarAnn on 3/28/25E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

The music was excellent. Great voices, and so much humor on such a tragic day for the country. It’s good to remember that there are still good hearted people in this world.

  • Must See! Poignant & Heartwarming

by SzyG on 3/27/25Emens Auditorium - MuncieRating: 5 out of 5

This show ranks among my top 3 favorite musicals ever. The cast is spectacularly talented and the constant pulsating of the music creates tension and gravity amid moments of humor and humanity. Must see!

  • Just as good the second time

by Ralph on 3/27/25Emens Auditorium - MuncieRating: 5 out of 5

Saw it on Broadway a few years ago. This production was just as good. Such a great story told in such a creative way.

  • Yeah Canada

by Jim on 3/27/25Emens Auditorium - MuncieRating: 5 out of 5

This was the second time to enjoy COME FROM AWAY. I traveled to see it again as it is so moving, so honest, so praiseworthy a story with awesome music. Although there is some tragedy in the story, there is so much humor. The show works so well without intermission and did not seem long because of the excellent choreography and music that kept the pace going. My barber was in shock as he and his partner wanted to see it again but did not know it was playing in a nearby city. It is their favorite musical. Thank you Canada especially in these times. May this show go on forever.
