Even better, the Fleur De Lis on the undercard featured the reigning Horse of the Year, Thorpedo Anna. It is always awe inspiring to see the twin spires of Churchill Downs in person. The only negative was that there were no ushers checking tickets and the few times we briefly left our seats we returned to find other people occupying them and one time our seats were even rearranged to accommodate a baby stroller. I think it is unclear to patrons that some of the seats are reserved and it is awkward to have to be the one to ask them to move.
