BRANDI CARLILE IN CONCERT:
Alt-country sweetheart Brandi Carlile has crowned Billboard's Top Folk Albums chart twice since her 2005 debut, and it's easy to see why as she performs her heart-rending tunes in concert. Carlile is a world-class belter, and the perfect way her voice cracks when she goes big makes visceral tunes like "The Story" and "The Eye" all the more powerful. Country and folk are squarely in her wheelhouse, but she also dabbles in styles as diverse as rock, R&B, and blues, making for a dynamic concert experience anchored by her elegant songwriting and emotive voice. Whether she's performing songs from 2015's The Firewatcher's Daughter or making jaws drop with her soaring cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah", Carlile never fails to impress ticket buyers with her poise, gorgeous voice, and good-natured stage presence.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Brandi Carlile was born and raised in rural Washington state, where she began performing with her mother and brother at age eight. She taught herself to play guitar, and by her teens she was penning her own songs and singing backup for an Elvis impersonator. By her twenties she was performing in Seattle's music scene with her twin brothers, and in 2004 she signed with Columbia Records. Her self-titled 2005 debut topped Billboard's Folk Albums chart, introducing fans to her powerful voice and heart-on-sleeve songwriting. She teamed up with legendary producer T Bone Burnett for her 2007 sophomore album The Story, with stellar results -- the album peaked at No. 10 on the rock charts and scored a breakthrough hit with its title track. Since then Carlile has toured extensively and released four more acclaimed albums including 2011's Live at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony and 2015's The Firewatcher's Daughter.

This show blew us away. My entire group in awe of Brandi, he voice, her story, her acapella performance and the incredible Capital Theatre. Nothing better than to be blown away when you least expect it. Thanks Brando.
What a unique night at the Capitol theater with Brandi Carlile performing solo. I loved every minute. A special treat to have her wife Catherine join her on stage for a couple songs.
Interesting show, just her, a guitar and a piano. Kinda of like the humble beginnings. Got to give her credit, a week after her Grammy performance watched by millions to an intimate small theatre. All tough I enjoyed the evening, I'd prefer to see her with her band. Better vibe, just my opinion. Saw her plus the twins at Bethel Woods last summer, awesome! Shout out to the Capitol, one of those throwback places with not a bad seat in the house. Will definitely visit again.
Thursday nights solo show at the Capitol Theatre was amazing! Brandi her acoustic guitar, piano and of course her voice simply incredible! If you have a chance to see her solo at a small venue like the Capitol just do it!
The talented Brandi did not disappoint the crowd in Portland,ME. She talked and joked with the audience like we were all good friends. Her musical talent singing, piano, guitar were spot on. And bringing her lovely wife to the stage just added an extra touch to the amazing show. “We love you Brandi” was the shout out of the night!
The very best!! Brandi….an intimate venue….a guitar….a piano….her stories!! We need more shows like this!! PURE PERFECTION!!!

This solo performance was so intimate. It’s the best performance I have ever seen. Brandi had conversations with us and really showed her true self. It was the best way to hear my wedding song live and share my 13th anniversary with my partner.
My first Brandi show set the bar for all future Brandi shows… because there will be more. She’s supremely talented and engages with her audience. She’s amazing. ❤️
Brandi came through again! So amazing. Thankful to be there. KT Tunstall was awesome - what a performer! Bringing out Sleater Kinney was a gift - I love them and any chance to see them is a gift Moda center (or whatever it’s called) is a great facility but there is nothing around there. No place for dinner. No place for a drink. No place to do anything. Not a big fan.
Brandi and band are very talented and have great chemistry. They sounded perfect and seemed to be having a great time. She did a few covers as well as her own music - really made the show accessible for new and established fans.
She played from 10:30-midnight, and then the counted down for the new year, and played another hour after!!!! I love her and the twins and the band so much and it was a wooooonderful experience.
This was one of the best shows we’ve ever been to. It was music, it was connection, it was entertainment, it was support and love. Anytime there is a Brandi Carlile concert in our state in the future, we will make sure we attend.
So no question, Brandi Carlile, Phil and Tim Hanseroth and their band are some of the most talented songwriters, singers and performers out there today. But did you know, they are also they greatest cover band of all time? Brandi really knows her fans, and knows how to put on a party. In addition to their current hits, they played several deep cuts - Josephine, What Can I say and Dreams. But they also rocked our socks off with KT Tunstall and Portland locals Sleater-Kinney and played tons of 80's hits like "I love Rock and Roll", "Hit me with your best shot" "Bright Eyes" and "Heaven is a place on Earth" AS LONG AS BRANDI KEEPS SINGING I WILL KEEP BUYING TICKETS
Such a fun night in Portland hearing an incredible voice, the band, and the joyous fans. Loved every minute of it. First Brandi show; looking forward to many, many more.
Fabulous concert! This was truly a party with 20,000 people. This was a much-needed way to put a lid on 2022. Thanks, Brandi, for the catharsis!

Brandi's best concert ever... even topped Red Rocks. Sound was amazing. Played til almost 1a. They had fun, which made it even more fun for the audience. Stage presence was incredible. And KT Tunstall killed it with her opening act. Excellent show!!!
The show was so great. Brandi was very engaging and her band was so good. Show was well worth the cost.
