    Amazing Show!

by ScottfromBoston on 4/17/24Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens - Boston

Ruston was so down to earth. Really felt like he connected with us all. Performance was spot on. Intelligent, quirky, intimate where he really showed us who he is. Sound was great and TK as part of the show just added to how special this was. Something I will never forget. Please come back to Boston again soon! Thanks for keeping it real.

Solo show, only ruston with piano and a guitar. Heard stories, interacted with audience, ruston was a joy to see perform. Thank you ruston!

    Beautiful, intimate show

by Kristen on 4/8/24Delmar Hall - Saint Louis

This show was one of the best I’ve been too. He was taking requests the crowd was shouting and interacting with everyone the entire time. It also seems like he’s playing a few shows each stop that haven’t been played at other ones which is nice because I like to go to a couple shows each tour. If you want a rehearsed set list that’s overproduced, this isn’t it. If you want to feel something and connect with an artist, this is it. 100/10 for this tour.

Perfect venue for an intimate set

by MsmelleMel on 4/1/24The Shelter - Detroit

Seeing an artist perform an acoustic set in a venue like this was amazing. The Shelter is a standing room only venue with capacity for maybe 200 ppl and it was not packed. It was a bit surprising that it wasn’t more full, but it was also really cool we had so much room. The staff was cool, and the place had an incredible vibe. Ruston poured his heart into his performance and it felt very intimate and private…almost like he was performing in your living room. The crowd was respectfully quiet but appreciative, and I hope he felt the vibe was perfect for his Too Chill To Kill tour. Definitely go see him if you can in a setting like this with just him on stage pouring his heart out.

    4th Time To See Ruston

by LoveLiveMusic on 6/14/23Ascend Amphitheater - Nashville

Ruston is wonderful... but there was something wrong with the sound from about mid show until the end of the show. It was affecting his pitch and having seen Ruston a few other times, I know the quality of his voice.

Fun, chill show. Ruston needs to work on his tone.

by Honest Review on 6/5/23Ascend Amphitheater - Nashville

It was a fun concert and Ruston’s opener (especially his first one) were great. However it was noticeable that Ruston is either truly tone def or struggling from something (might just be tired). There were numerous times when his pitch and tone were WAYY off and he would land extremely flat or even sharp. I feel as if perhaps his point is to sing just under the note (slightly flat) to create a specific sound (singing from his chest) which reminds me of a sort of Imogene Heap type sound. But this type of singing clearly show he might perhaps just be tone def or having ear/mic issues. Additionally I noticed him signal to the audio guy (by lifting his guitar numerous times) as if he were asking them to help auto tune his voice up some. Other than the numerous times he was pitchy it was still a fun/chill concert on a nice night in Nashville. This is my honest review and my opinions only (being a guitar player and singer myself).

    Land of the Standing Giants

by Shorty on 6/5/23Ascend Amphitheater - Nashville

Ruston Kelly was awesome but all I could do was hear him and not actually see him or the band. I had great seats but once the music started, all of these vertically blessed people around me stood up - from beginning to end - and I could not see a thing. It really bummed me out and killed the whole experience. I just had no idea that was going to happen or I would not have gone at all.
