  • Must Attend

by Hanan on 5/31/22Charles Playhouse - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

The first time I went to the show was in 2005. Returning after 17 years, the show changed a lot but still is worth attending

  • Loved the show, great experience but limited view

by BB on 5/31/22Astor Place Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

I sat at the second row from back Generally it was not a problem as the theater is quite small But when activity was happening at back of stage I had to duck to see it all as part of the balcony was blocking my view! Also expected it to be a little longer…. 1.5hrs went so fast I wish there would have been more space outside with your displayed etc to take some pics as memory as we couldn’t during the show!

  • Disappointed

by SEB on 5/31/22Astor Place Theatre - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

Saw them in Chicago a few years ago and wanted to go back. Not as impressed with the changes made in the act this time. The cell phone bit, etc, just didn't seem as cutting edge and interesting. The show seems to have lost some of its creativity. If you are in NYC see any number of other more interesting shows.

  • Cut Short

by Linda on 5/30/22Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

I saw them for the first time in Portland Maine. The lines were long. But i figured they would be. The stage took longer than expected to get set up so the doors opened one half hour later then the show was supposed to start. After everyone finally arrived, and seats filled up, the show started. It was a great show! Very entertaining and funny. The entire program was scheduled for 2 hours however, because of the late start, it was only about 75 minutes long. I understand that they had to leave for their next stop however I felt a little disappointed. Hoping to be able to see them again.

  • Fascinating - music and comedy

by Love a good laugh on 5/29/22Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

The show was soooo good! I love a good laugh and the music and antics were fabulous. Interactive, brings the audience literally into the show! Would definitely recommend and would definitely see again!

  • We. Enjoyed the performance.

by Colleen on 5/29/22Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 3 out of 5

We were not happy that we had to wait over an hour to get to our seats. We were very close to the door to enter, but they did not open the doors for over 45 minutes late and then we had to wait 20 minutes to be let into the auditorium.

  • Could not see stage

by Mark on 5/27/22Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 1 out of 5

We could not see the stage at all, the seats we sat in should have never been sold as tickets.

  • Great show, bad venue. Cross should fire planner

by Visitor on 5/27/22Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 4 out of 5

The performance was awesome!! The way cross and event organizers handled communication, entrance, timing was the worst i have ever experienced. We showed up prior to 6:30 and did not enter until around 8 or later. We came with masks, vaccine cards and noone checked.

  • Blue man group - Chicago

by Jake on 5/27/22Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

The experience overall was great. This is one of the last places in Chicago that still requires masks. I don’t mind wearing one but they were pretty crazy about Covid. They also had the merch covered up. I was hoping to buy a hoodie for my son at the event. Instead, they direct you to a QR code to buy online (not the same experience). This event was in May of 2022 so maybe things will get better. We sat in the front row, wore ponchos and had a great Time. There are just minor things that fly off the stage, which is why the ponchos are handy. Stuff like cereal, colored water, etc. nothing that would stain your clothes. The venue was maybe 3/4 full. The performance itself was fantastic. The venue wasn’t that great, kind of dingy and dark. Seemed more like a sketchy rock venue.

  • Disappointing

by BeachBum on 5/27/22Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 2 out of 5

The show started 50 minutes late. I’ve seen Blue Man Group before and know what an exciting, engaging performance they can deliver. This tour was very disappointing. The format and skits were not suited for a large venue. There was no large screen to help with seeing smaller details or the facial expressions of the performers. My friends and I had to keep guessing as to what was happening on stage. The bit with the Rubix Cube was lost on us because we couldn’t tell what they were doing or using. I thought the handcuffs were a necklace until the audience members were locked together. The music was not as good as other shows, this was more like chaotic noise than music. The small screen used to show what was happening when the performers went into the audience was useless. It was small and whatever filter used made it difficult to see. The signs held up at different times were too small and did not have enough contrast to see clearly from any distance. This show was a huge waste of my time and money.

  • Disappointed

As long time fans we were disappointed with this latest performance, just didn't like it. We left early, maybe after we left they used the pipes more, lit whips, singers.....took our 13y o granddaughter, we were so excited to share with her; did not end up the way we'd expected.

  • Disappointed

by Crystal on 5/26/22Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 2 out of 5

After waiting outside…in line that wrapped around the entire venue…for nearly an hour, the 7:30 show didn’t start until after 8:30. Not a great beginning to the evening, especially for the younger members of the audience. Of which there were many because IT’S A FAMILY SHOW. Ten years ago, I saw a Blue Man Group performance and was amazed by the creativity and talent of the percussionists. The most recent show didn’t hold a candle to my previous experience. This show was more silent, slapstick comedy than musical talent. For example, one act was a grid of screens with a video of the Blue Men sitting in folding chairs pretending they were on a roller coaster. What the hell was that about? While I appreciate audience participation, should it be a third of your show? The backup musicians provided most of the music which sounded like the same song all night. The show lasted just over an hour and we didn’t wait for a possible encore. We followed the mass exodus of audience members on their way out at the first bow.

  • So much fun!

by Mei on 5/26/22Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

This show was so much fun! It was our first time seeing them and we were not disappointed. There were kids all around us and they were jamming out just as much as all of us adults. We will definitely see them again!

  • Disappointing - unsuitable venue

by Brianer on 5/26/22Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 1 out of 5

Cross Arena is not a suitable venue for the BMG - where we were sat, back in row M, you could not properly see what was going on onstage. Also we were late getting seated; arrived outside at 7pm, didn't get to our seats until 8pm, with show not starting until 8:20 - 50 mins late. Not cool on a Monday night. In addition, seemed to be minimal effort to get everyone seated before the show started - heavy streams of people trooping in up to 20 mins after the show started.

  • Not the best i have seen from them

by The Big T on 5/26/22Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 3 out of 5

Very bad stage set up. Bad view for a lot of people

  • Bad floor plan !

by Kimberly on 5/26/22Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 3 out of 5

I love the blue men! But the layout of the venue was horrible! Because of a big black curtain, you only had a good view of the stage if you were seated in the middle of the center!

  • Disappointed

by Disappointed on 5/26/22Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 2 out of 5

I really wish they would stay on stage. They started over an hour late. Then proceeded to be in the audience for more than half the time and ended 45 minutes early. After spending so much money on tickets i feel completely let down from all the hype. A complete waste of time and money.

  • Disappointed

by Lanie on 5/26/22Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 2 out of 5

This was my fourth time seeing BMG. I was excited to take my 14 year to his first show. The show started 45 minutes late. There wasn’t an opening show. The stage was set up in a way, that unless you were sitting in the middle floor seats you couldn’t see the entire stage. The previous shows I’d been to were non stop music. There was way too many random audience participation skits with zero music and very little entertainment. I’m really disappointed with the entire experience.

Concert excellent.security excellent.required proof of vaccination;however person did not check vaccine card, just stamped your hand as if you had shown him.he said he didn’t care

  • Bad venue

by X on 5/26/22Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 2 out of 5

Not a good venue for this show. If your seats are far away you cannot see what they are doing.
