  • the show has aged badly

by Seb on 7/5/22Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 1 out of 5

there are several lengths, I think the show needs to be reviewed and revamped... the 8 year olds seem to like it but the adults don't seem to have fun. We would like to find the dynamism and the festive party that was the blue man group

  • Weird but fun

by JerseyJess on 7/1/22Astor Place Theatre - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

We weren’t sure what to expect with the blue man group. They did a lot of ‘mouth stuff’- spitting and all- which I really did not like but then the show got better. It was a little odd but entertaining and overall we liked it

  • Amazing experience

by The rock guy on 7/1/22Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I got the tickets for me and my husband, on the second row, not sure of what to expect and didn’t know that there was audience participation or a splash zone :) the performance was amazing…. We loved the band too! we got sprayed with water, my husband (a rather introverted guy) was picked from the audience for a skit, and the show overall was very funny. I recommend it 100%!

  • Just okay

by Steff on 6/30/22Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

I guess I was a bit underwhelmed as I thought it would be more of a production. The drumming was great just to lengthy. Seemed to get a bit bored with thrashing. The confetti shooters missed the mark and catching marshmallows in your mouth is fun, but after the first few we were over it. It was an experience!

  • Great Show!

by ShaylaD on 6/29/22Charles Playhouse - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen Blue Man Group many times in Boston and it's always great. We took my 8 and 10 year old nieces to an afternoon show and sat in the poncho section. There were a lot of kids and the staff was great; they passed out booster seats to all the kids that needed them to see. The show was entertaining and the kids had a blast!

  • Wow-eee!!

by TC on 6/29/22Astor Place Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Just the most ingenious, zany and joyful show I have ever seen! Brilliant, hysterically funny and as creative as it gets. Every family member will find something that will make them laugh!

  • a bit overhyped

by JW on 6/28/22Charles Playhouse - BostonRating: 2 out of 5

The show was enjoyable, but didn't live up to the hype or ticket price. There's something lovely about the simplicity of the elements and the storytelling with just physical expression, but myself and my family left feeling a bit underwhelmed about the whole thing. I wouldn't purchase again if I knew what the whole show experience would be.

  • Needed more paint

by Amused on 6/28/22Charles Playhouse - BostonRating: 3 out of 5

Not enough paint but still a funny show. We want Paint paint paint!

  • Over rated

    by Jibr60 on 6/27/22Charles Playhouse - BostonRating: 2 out of 5

The Charles playhouse was great and the staff fantastic. The show started strong and was engaging, and funny but after an hour it was just a percussion band with a side show. Paid for premium seats, row 3 and 4 and there was no need for a poncho. Waste of money. Sorry but that was my experience.

  • Lacking….

    by Jenny65 on 6/26/22Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

Wasn’t as exciting as I expected or as funny, mostly awkward humor to be honest; got pretty slow and painfully awkward towards the middle of the performance.

  • Not Bad and Not Good

by Tee on 6/26/22Astor Place Theatre - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5

Years ago I saw the Blue Man Group in DC and it was fun and spectacular. This show in NYC was boring and not very fun and the flow of it seemed disjointed. It was on my bucket list to see it again and what a complete waste of a bucket list. I will not be recommending this show to others going forward as I have in the past.

  • Great

by Rainer (Germany) on 6/22/22Astor Place Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Thanks for a great Show, it was a nice expirience for us, the crew was helpfully. Hope to see you again next time in the US.

  • Show feels a little tired

by Sally on 6/22/22Charles Playhouse - BostonRating: 3 out of 5

I’ve now seen this show four times over twenty years and based on the last performance it felt tired. The shtick hasn’t been upgraded and the set was worn. Also, maybe time for some Blue (Wo)man group members? Save the cash. It was fun in 2000 but in 2020, felt dated and predictable.

  • Father's day gift

by Lyons on 6/21/22Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

My hubby has always wanted to see The Blue Man Group, it was a bucket list of his. He and his brother own there own entertainment business and even played them as their intro music before. So for Father's day I gave him front row tickets to see them. By the end of the show he was picked to go on stage and crowned "Best Audience Member " . The show was amazing and left us with memories for a lifetime. We both loved the music ( especially him being a drummer) and the comedy. I would have let them hit me with paint without any protection for my clothes , its all a part of the experience to get colorful. We will definitely be going to another show again when we visit Chicago!

  • Grandson Loved It

  • Had a great time

by Igor Mas on 6/19/22Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

A great comedy and musical show, the shaming of the people that were late was hilarious 😂

  • I've never left a review before

by djschin on 6/19/22Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 1 out of 5

I've never written a review before but I was so upset with the service I received from Tickemaster that I'm taking the time to do this. I had bought the tickets to Blue Man Group which was on a Thursday evening - the Sunday prior I sent an email asking where my tickets were...I kept getting confirmation emails so I knew they had the right account but when I went into my account it said there weren't any upcoming events. They replied saying I should get a reply within 24-48 hrs. I didn't hear from them until Saturday, two days after the event even though I emailed them a few times before the event... Luckily Blue Man Group had the reservation under my name so I guess ticket master did that right but their customer service is the worst I've ever encountered with a company. I will always choose a different way to purchase tickets if possible.

  • Entertaining for sure!

by Jjj on 6/17/22Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

We had a really good time at our first Blue Man group performance - my two teens thought it was hilarious and really fun. I’m not a huge fan of picking unwilling participants from the crowd - I have a kid with anxiety and he was so nervous about being picked that he didn’t enjoy the show as much. I would have loved to see more of the fun percussion they are known for!

  • Family friendly fun!

by Allison on 6/17/22Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

We loved everything about the show! It was entertaining for parents and our 13yr old son! We would definitely go back.
