About

21 Savage in Concert

21 Savage has wasted no time since he left behind a life on the streets of Atlanta to become one of hip-hop's most exciting artists. Released at the end of 2018, the frank and fearless rapper's second album, ‘I Am > I Was,' confirms his status as a gifted newcomer in the game, one who's unafraid to speak out about the social and political issues impacting his listeners, while unflinchingly portraying his own personal experience and struggles.

That boldness has led to an incredible string of commercial success, including such hits as "Rockstar," which reached No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart before earning two Grammy nominations for 21 Savage and his track / one-time touring partner Post Malone. His upcoming shows will no doubt be richly entertaining and intense.

21 Savage Background

Born in the U.K. to parents of Dominican and Haitian heritage, the artist otherwise known as Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph came to Atlanta as a child and endured a harsh education. But music created another path for 21 Savage, whose freestyle skills soon made him a standout in the city's underground hip-hop scene.

After his first mixtape efforts began earning him wider attention in 2015, a spot on XXL's Freshman Class for 2016 and a collaborative EP with local producer Metro Boomin called ‘Savage Mode' led to a breakthrough. The smash success of "X" (featuring Future) led to a deal with Epic and the release of his first full-length album in 2017. The artist's fierce energy and dexterous flow helped send ‘Issa Album' straight to No. 2. He attracted more critical acclaim and chart action the same year with ‘Without Warning,' a collaborative studio album with Offset and Metro Boomin.

Though 21 Savage would also find fruitful creative partnerships with Cardi B on "Bartier Cardi" and Drake on "Sneakin'," he scored his biggest hit to date by teaming with Post Malone on "Rockstar." His raw and intense performances on his spring and summer tours supporting Post Malone were further proof of the onstage prowess he displayed on his own Issa Music and Numb the Pain tours.

21 Savage is on tour in 2019 for his newly-minted gold album "I Am > I Was". He is touring with one of hip-hop's brightest stars, DaBaby.

by Slaughter gang on 5/30/24Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Lawn was tooooo crazy packed. We were packed like sardines! But higher up the lawn was freer and less humid and you still had a full view of 21 so I’m learning for next time. But the vibes were great and ofc Drake came out so it was a great night.

    Bad stage presence

by 21 Toronto - Saturday concert on 5/29/24Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Not the best stage presence. Drake came out the second show (Monday) and not the Saturdays. 21 was on stage for ~1 hour.

    Speakers

by Cinderella on 5/28/24Budweiser Stage - Toronto

The speakers that hung on the left and right of the stage blocked our view to see the video screen of 21 Savage

by Leah B on 5/28/24Budweiser Stage - Toronto

We went to both the 25th & 27th shows ❤️❤️❤️ JID he was the main reason for going! I liked 21 but never saw him live and heard mix reviews tbh after these 2 shows I ❤️❤️❤️ him total 🔥🔥🔥! Awesome shows he’s just a more chill performance vibe but amazing energy . Loved the visuals too ! Both nights crowd going bonkers and singing every word ! Fun that Drake performed too on the 27th .

    2 different shows

by Dan on 5/28/24Budweiser Stage - Toronto

How can he bring out Drake for the 2nd show and not the first show. Not fair to his fans that pay money to see him but he gives two different performances.
