About

WICKED, the Broadway sensation, looks at what happened in the Land of Oz…but from a different angle.  Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another girl, born with emerald-green skin—smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships…until the world decides to call one “good,” and the other one “wicked.”

With a thrilling score that includes the hits “Defying Gravity,” “Popular” and “For Good,” WICKED has been hailed by The New York Times as “the defining musical of the decade.” Time Magazine cheers, “if every musical had the brain, the heart, and the courage of WICKED, Broadway really would be a magical place.”

From the first electrifying note to the final breathtaking moment, WICKED—the untold true story of the Witches of Oz—transfixes audiences with its wildly inventive story. It will send your spirits soaring to heights you’ll never forget.

  • I had forgotten how good this is!

by Wicked GOOD on 9/10/25BJCC Concert Hall - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

Wicked was really good, better than i remembered. I had forgotten about some of the parts. Saw it in New York a few years ago and did the Behind the Emerald Curtain tour. Makes really looking forward to the movie Wicked for Good. The actors did a great job it was a very enjoyable show, a friend was with us, her first time to see the play, had not seen the movie, she was blown away (pun intended)

  • Amazing performance!!

by Kate on 9/8/25BJCC Concert Hall - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

My daughter and her friends love Wicked but unfortunately I have tried to watch the movie a few times and could not get through the first 20 minutes out of boredom. WOW! This performance was amazing!!! I would recommend it for everyone to watch. Such talent!! We could all hear Glenda well but sometimes it was harder to make out all the words Elfaba was signing. I spent $100 a piece on tickets and would have liked to be closer to the stage but it was so great. I received a coupon to purchase tickets, but could not get it to work. I reached out to Ticketmaster and the rep said she could see it wasn’t working and told me to buy a particular section and said the coupon was working for it, but it still did not. The issue was escalated and a rep called me but I was asleep as I work nights. I reached back out but no one responded. I have yet to hear back or get this problem resolved. Also another issue at the BJCC my almost 70 year old mom was with me and she tripped over the wiring on the floor. The BJCC pretty much brushed it off but she had a knot on her knee 30 minutes later and has bruising on numerous parts of her body as it was an extremely hard fall. So in summary, the performance was amazing but I’m frustrated with Ticketmaster and the BJCC.

  • Now one of my favorite shows!

by PD on 9/8/25Prairie Home Alliance Theater - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

Listened to the soundtrack before seeing the show and it didn't do it justice to actually seeing it performed. It was a travelling production but the cast and stage design seemed like I was seeing it right on Broadway. It was amazing how such a small troupe put together so elaborate of a production. I would see it again.

  • CHART TOPPER FOR SURE

by Ms Neevah on 9/8/25BJCC Concert Hall - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

I am a huge fan of everything WIZARD OF OZ and any of the spin-offs. The Wiz, Oz the Great and Powerful, Return to OZ and of course WICKED (my all-time favorite). I have seen the show at least 50 times (All in Birmingham @ the BJCC Concert Hall). To say "I'm a huge fan"is an understatement. I on wish there was a "Meet the Cast Event"associated with this show. I do think that it's not a show for children under the age of 13 because, even though the content has been washed a little, some of the innuendo was a bit inappropriate for children (just my opinion). The atmosphere at BJCC is comfortable and user friendly. The staff are welcoming and friendly. If I had to make one suggestion/complaint it would be to include the information about the bag size restrictions. I parked a good distance away from the venue only to find out when I was about to enter that my purse exceeded the size limitation. I had no prior knowledge of this rule, and it wasn't an issue any of the other times that I have visited the venue. I didn't have time to go back to my car to take my purse, so I was FORCED to pay $20.00 to store my purse in a locker. The Wi-Fi was sketchy so there was a delay trying to get the app to work; I didn't have cash because, I do know that BJCC is a cashless venue. It all worked out and I made it to my seat in good time for the start of the show, but I wasn't able to get concessions prior to. It would be nice to include this information on the ticket or e-tickets at the time of purchase. Not a huge deal if prior notice was provided, but it has the potential to be a costly inconvenience. Still, I enjoyed the show and the venue. I may go back before the show ends. I loved it THAT MUCH.

The show was absolutely phenomenal! The cast was riveting. Each portrayal of the main characters was unique in its own special way. I simply couldn’t be more impressed and pleased. This will continue to be one of my top shows for years to come. I cannot recommend this show enough!!! Those that have not experienced the magic that is Wicked are truly missing out on an incredible & epic show! Pink does go with green after all. The theater staff were full of smiles, joy, & excitement. Not to mention the photo up setup they had. Spectacular all around.

  • Wow!

by Becky on 9/4/25Prairie Home Alliance Theater - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

It was an amazing show. The actress portraying Elphaba was a way better singer than the movie gal.

  • Finally got to see it!

by Cj5chick on 9/4/25Prairie Home Alliance Theater - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

Always enjoy seeing concerts and productions at Peoria Civic Center, and this time was no different! The staging, direction, sets and just everything were superb, created a feeling of expansive vistas and being there in Oz and not in a theater seat

  • Amazing as always

by Pyrozman on 9/3/25Prairie Home Alliance Theater - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

This is my 4th time seeing wicked and 5th for my wife. Twice now in Peoria. This time our two younger children and niece attended with us. It's great to see that as the show grows in popularity tickets remain reasonable and the script never changes. Even though it was the finale the actors gave their all for this performance. Wicked has always been an amazing show.

  • First time for hubby to see

by Jan on 9/3/25Prairie Home Alliance Theater - PeoriaRating: 4 out of 5

Awesome show. Some of sound hard to distinguish, particularly of females. Seemed too much reverberation? This some verbiage lost. Costumes and choreography excellent.

  • The Eighth time is the charm

by GG on 9/2/25Prairie Home Alliance Theater - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

Took my Granddaughter and her mother-in-law who had never seen it. It was my eighth time still fresh. The staging and the set were amazing for a traveling show. The young woman who played Elphaba was the star in my eyes. She interpreted the music in her own style. I will enjoy seeing her on Broadway some day. The Civic center did a great job considering the crowds. Proud to have this venue in Peoria and am never disappointed. Bravo to the Cast and especially the crew!!!

  • Nothing Less Than Amazing!
