About

WICKED, the Broadway sensation, looks at what happened in the Land of Oz…but from a different angle.  Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another girl, born with emerald-green skin—smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships…until the world decides to call one “good,” and the other one “wicked.”

With a thrilling score that includes the hits “Defying Gravity,” “Popular” and “For Good,” WICKED has been hailed by The New York Times as “the defining musical of the decade.” Time Magazine cheers, “if every musical had the brain, the heart, and the courage of WICKED, Broadway really would be a magical place.”

From the first electrifying note to the final breathtaking moment, WICKED—the untold true story of the Witches of Oz—transfixes audiences with its wildly inventive story. It will send your spirits soaring to heights you’ll never forget.

An excellent production of Wicked. Wicked is one of my favorite shows. The actors portraying Elphaba & Glinda were superb. Not any weak members of the cast. I would see it again

After over 20 years of desperately trying to get tickets to see this show (we are a military family and it was always in town around the time we are moving to a new duty station) I was not left disappointed! I took my 10 year old daughter for her first musical and it was such a special experience! This show exceeded our expectations and we cannot wait to go see it again!

This was my eleventh time to see Wicked, and it was the best yet! The acoustics were perfect; we could hear the lines easily. The venue was comfortable ample room between rows. Thank you for such a perfect experience!

  • Some high...some low spots

by Cindy on 6/3/25Chapman Music Hall - TPAC - TulsaRating: 3 out of 5

I've seen Wicked at the PAC eight or nine times. It's my favorite musical theatre and I always enjoy it. In this production there were some ultra high spots (Elphiba's amazing voice, and the end of the first act) and some low spots which included pacing which seemed very rushed, especially in the first act. Glinda had a lovely voice, but most of her songs and dialogue seemed rushed and uncertain. Many of the songs, even with she and Elphiba lacked emotion. Elphiba's I'm Not that Girl was sung like pop song, rather than a heart-wrenching emotional event. Madame Morible's acting seemed flat. Her over the top comedic turns of phrase are usually a highlight, but this one was underplayed and uninspiring. Added ad-lib dialogue (for every role) didn't contribute and wasn't needed. Overall it felt like the production was under-rehearsed, and needed director input to correct pacing. The cast seemed much smaller than usual and occasionally discordant. The new sets were mostly fine. I still enjoyed the show but it was definitely not up to par with other productions I've seen.

  • Great experiencs

We loved the production. But, even though we had good seats, there were several times we had trouble hearing/understanding the words, especially when it was a group song and occasionally even when just 1 person was talking.

I was really impressed with the show, and while our experience was a gift to my wife, I wish I had taken our kids also. They would have loved it. The scenery was great. Everything was excellent. Would go back again if I had the chance.

  • Good but sound was off

by Peggy on 4/15/25Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 4 out of 5

I knew nothing about the plot or story line before going. I enjoyed the production and set design was really neat. However, the music was sometimes too loud and I couldn't hear the singers. The gentleman especially were hard to hear. Overall I give it 4 stars.
