About

WICKED, the Broadway sensation, looks at what happened in the Land of Oz…but from a different angle.  Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another girl, born with emerald-green skin—smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships…until the world decides to call one “good,” and the other one “wicked.”

With a thrilling score that includes the hits “Defying Gravity,” “Popular” and “For Good,” WICKED has been hailed by The New York Times as “the defining musical of the decade.” Time Magazine cheers, “if every musical had the brain, the heart, and the courage of WICKED, Broadway really would be a magical place.”

From the first electrifying note to the final breathtaking moment, WICKED—the untold true story of the Witches of Oz—transfixes audiences with its wildly inventive story. It will send your spirits soaring to heights you’ll never forget.

Ticketmaster offer me great seats and a great price especially since I’m a senior and having an autistic grown-up son that we both cannot walk up to the mezzanine. We both had a wonderful time thank you

  • Thrilling experience with iconic songs!

by Diana on 12/5/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

I had never seen Wicked, nor had I read the book, so I did not know what to expect when I sat down to watch the play. I was blown away by the songs and performances! Though I knew of the songs, Defying Gravity and Popular from pop culture, I was amazed at how great they were in the context of the play. The humor sprinkled throughout the play was a great surprise. the costumes and sets were terrific as well. The end of Act I, when Defying Gravity was performed, it took my breath away with the staging and performances. The tidbits tying back to The Wizard of Oz with the Tin Man, Cowardly Lion and the Scarecrow were quite fun and unexpected. I, my husband, my daughter, my son and my daughter-in-law all thoroughly enjoyed the play. I highly recommend this production. You will not be disappointed!

  • Can never get enough

This is my 6th time watching it here (Seattle Paramount) and my daughter's 7th time (one in London so a total of 8). For this showing (12/1/24), it felt a little rushed in the beginning until the final scene of Act 1. We were sitting in the main floor in the 3rd row and honestly, I don't prefer sitting this close. I would recommend actually sitting 3-5 more rows further back. If you're 5'3 or shorter, I feel like it's not worth being that close to the stage. Like with me - my neck was getting stiff and uncomfortable due to having to reposition my neck the majority of the time, especially because of the people in the front being taller. Also, being this close, I did not feel the dynamic and spine tingling for half of the performances compared to the other 5 shows where we sat a lot farther in the back. This might be because the sound wasn't as strong. This factor will serve best for those wanting less emphasis on the loudness and want to see more physical and facial actions and expressions.

  • Wicked with family

by Susan on 12/4/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. Was just amazing- the singing, costumes, story line. Paramount in Seattle is beautiful but needs an uplift- not enough bathrooms (at least for women). Seats really crowded (knees touching the row in front of me) and my entire row of seats moved back and forth like it was about to break loose off the floor anchor. But that being said great show!

  • Love the show

by Wicked fan on 12/3/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

This is my third time seeing this show and I still love it. The audio could have been better at times it played over the actors so you couldn't hear the lyrics.

  • Wickedly Awesome

by mjs on 12/3/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

This is the 3rd time I’ve sent the broadway show and this cast is by far the best!! The others were good, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes a cast has a special spark and this was one of those times. I love loved loved this show!!

  • Disappointment

by Kyung on 12/3/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 3 out of 5

Well expected story line without any surprise or twist. The music was similar tone and melody from starting to end. It became boring and tiring at the end of the act especially when actors and actresses sang at "Forte"all the time. The costumes were beautiful, that's all I can say good about it.

  • Entertaining Show!

by KeyboardChris on 12/3/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

I think the person who played Glinda was a bit more solid of an actor and singer than Elphaba, but both were great. Costumes and orchestra were excellent!

  • Happy Birthday to me!

by Jill Sharp on 12/2/24Rating: 5 out of 5

I'm so excited for this to be playing here in Boise, ID at the Morrison Center ON MY BIRTHDAY!!! It's been a dream of mine to see this performance and that dream is finally coming true thanks to my husband Paul Sharp. I can't wait for 4/4/25 - turning 49 never seemed exciting until now.

  • Powerful Performance

by Mom of Two on 12/2/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

The Paramount is a beautiful venue! Watching Wicked with my teenage son and daughter in the Emerald City, Seattle was the perfect way to start the Christmas season! Seattle was lit up with lights and it felt magical walking in. The friendly volunteer staff helped us get seated. The show was beautiful, funny, mesmerizing!! My kids loved it! My son was humming a song a few days later!

  • Difficult Entrance but Worthwhile Performance

by Doer on 11/30/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

We attended the matinee performance the day before the Thanksgiving Holiday. We’d received text instructions to arrive a full hour before the curtain and the expectation of long lines. We were told that the performance would begin promptly at one pm. & that late arrivals would be seated only at the convenience of not disrupting the show. We arrived one hour & fifteen minutes early. We were admitted into auditorium lobby at roughly noon but once inside; waited (STANDING) another half hour to enter theatre. The lobby crowd was packed and truly unsafe. After being allowed to be seated, numerous guests arrived as late as ten minutes past posted curtain time of one pm. The lights finally dimmed at 1:12 pm. The play itself was beautifully staged and costumed. The performances outstanding, especially the lead actresses.

  • Just as fabulous as we remember!

by Char on 11/30/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

We were able to see Wicked while in New York City in July 2023. When the traveling company brought it to Seattle, my granddaughter wanted to see it again. We made it a holiday gift and attended! It did not disappoint! I saw my granddaughter s face glowing and the ear to ear smiles all the way! It had all the excitement and music we have grown to love and it was full of the talent we hoped for. Thank you for bringing Broadway to us!

  • Too hard to see, crowded, left at intermission

by Amy on 11/28/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 1 out of 5

Paramount Theater in Seattle Row Y was way too far from the stage to be able to see. Plus, it was hot and crowded. We left at the half. Disappointed with the venue.
