About

WICKED, the Broadway sensation, looks at what happened in the Land of Oz…but from a different angle.  Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another girl, born with emerald-green skin—smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships…until the world decides to call one “good,” and the other one “wicked.”

With a thrilling score that includes the hits “Defying Gravity,” “Popular” and “For Good,” WICKED has been hailed by The New York Times as “the defining musical of the decade.” Time Magazine cheers, “if every musical had the brain, the heart, and the courage of WICKED, Broadway really would be a magical place.”

From the first electrifying note to the final breathtaking moment, WICKED—the untold true story of the Witches of Oz—transfixes audiences with its wildly inventive story. It will send your spirits soaring to heights you’ll never forget.

  • Awesome performance, not great sound

by Emz on 4/14/25Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 4 out of 5

What a talented cast, with beautiful costumes and scenery. The only downside was the sound. We sat in the middle of the mezzanine and could not hear the dialog. My teens missed out on a lot of the story/humor because they couldn't hear it. My hearing is fine and I couldn't either. If they would put some speakers up top, it would have been perfect.

  • Wonderful Experience

  • Amazing girls night out

by The Wickedgirls on 4/14/25Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

This is my 4th time seeing Wicked and it never disappoints. This is my 2nd time seeing it at the Morrison Center. It is one of my all time FAVORITE shows. If you have a chance to see it, don't pass it up. I am so grateful that we have this venue in Boise to have shows like this. The whole sound track is awesome! The talent is off the charts. The costumes and sets are fabulous. The whole experience is so much fun and I am so glad I had the opportunity to experience it. My only negative about the entire night, is I felt like the price for tickets for the show were incredibly expensive. I have done several shows at the Morrison Center and this by far, was the most expensive. If I didn't love the show as much as I do, I would have passed. It makes me sad that there were probably a lot of people who couldn't see it just based on the price. It is an extraordinary show, but I do feel the ticket prices were over the top. But, a fabulous night!!!!

  • Great actors, good production, poor sound mixing

by JT on 4/13/25Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 4 out of 5

I very much enjoyed the actors and their portrayals. The production was well designed and versatile and could be staged at a wide range of venues. From my position at the middle front of the mezzanine, the sound mixing was unfortunately far from adequate; the music volume overpowered many of the vocals as to render them un-understandable. I was not alone in this assessment.

  • Amazing

by Diane M on 4/11/25Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

We gave our daughter tickets to Wicked for her birthday. It was such a great choice for a gift. We went and were all so amazed at the stage, the costumes and of course the show itself. The cast did such an incredible job. We cannot wait to attend the next performance!

  • Low-energy cast first act

by Kate on 4/9/25Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 3 out of 5

I was a bit underwhelmed by the touring production of Wicked. I was so excited to check this show off my bucket list! I saved up just for this ticket, a Christmas present to myself! I saw them on a Thursday matinee, so maybe they just weren’t on their A-game… the first act the whole cast was low-energy and Galinda struggled with her high notes. I thought, “I wonder how many of these are understudies” but they were all the principal cast. Elpheba was good. The orchestra was great and of course the music and book are great, but much of the cast seemed to just be going through the motions. They picked up after intermission and I still got warm fuzzies and tears at the end. But after waiting 20 years to finally see this show, it was a bit of a let-down.

  • Absolutely Amazing as Usual

by Zeekh on 4/2/25ASU Gammage - TempeRating: 5 out of 5

It's difficult to not say so many good things about this production. The props, the costume designs, the entire stage presence! The only tinge of dislike that I has is that I feel like the choice for Elfaba could've been the actress chosen for Nessa Rose. As good of a singer the actress for Elfaba was, I feel like she didn't have enough power behind her voice as Nessa. However, still amazing job!
