Since premiering at Broadway’s Gershwin Theatre in 2003, WICKED has been mesmerizing audiences and breaking records, becoming the second highest-grossing musical in Broadway history with over $1.4 billion in tickets sold. Composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz and book writer Winnie Holzman’s magical “untold true story of the Witches of Oz” has been nominated for 10 Tony Awards — winning three — including Idina Menzel for Best Actress in a Musical as heroine Elphaba. With a captivating score that includes the hits “Defying Gravity” and “For Good,” the WICKED cast album won Best Musical Show Album at the 47th Grammy Awards, with Time magazine cheering, “If every musical had a brain, a heart, and the courage of WICKED, Broadway really would be a magical place.” In addition to Menzel, the star-studded original cast included Kristin Chenoweth as Glinda, Norbert Leo Butz as Fiyero, Joel Grey as the Wizard, Carole Shelley as Madame Morrible, Christopher Fitzgerald as Boq, Michelle Federer as Nessarose, and William Youmans as Doctor Dillamond. WICKED is also the fourth longest-running show in Broadway history.

Wonderful show! Glad we got to see it but sit center if you can.
The actors, the costumes, the makeup, the sets, the choreography, the music, the EVERYTHING was beautiful. If I could go back and watch it again I gladly would forever. WORTH YOUR MONEY
it was incredible to watch all the actors perform and would 10 out of 10 recommend if you are in the area A little pricey but it’s worth the money and it’s amazing for kids to see but wouldn’t recommend for younger kiddos.
Would recommend if you are in the NY area! It is such an amazing show and has a truly great message.
I plan my whole New York trip just to see this show. It was amazing and cant wait to be back in the theater. I seen this play 5 times!
Flew into NYC and was seated in the 2nd row center. The music, singing, lighting, costumes, stage presence, and creativity had me blown away. Once Broadway re-opens, I will see again
Show was good, nice theater, convenient and good seats, about 25 rows from stage
I spent a lot of money on his tickets were so disappointed to see that they did not have the main Glenda performing and an understudy or back up instead
My ticket was right off stage. Great I've been wanting to see this play for a few years. But tickets were always too expensive. Received and offer and i jumped on it. Glad i made the choice to go. Loved the swinging monkeys.
Great show! Theatre was set up so everyone had a good view on the orchestra level. Performances were top notch.
It was just a great story and the actors were were amazing!
I love love loved Wicked!!!!! The show was phenomenal, and the overall experience in the theater was great. Could not recommend more. Go See It!!!
Fantastic really enjoyed the different view of the story
Loved our Wicked experience! The show was delightful and beautiful. We bought a parking pass to ABM with our tickets and couldn't have been happier with our parking experience; the garage is basically attached to the Gershwin and the employees were very nice and efficient. Great day all around!
Wish I could give it more stars, but both the stars were the understudies. On a Friday? We saw the traveling show in San Antonio last year, and to be honest, Glinda was better in that one. Also, wish that they made it more obvious that 2 year olds aren’t allowed. We bought our daughter a seat of her own and she loved ALL THREE HOURS, I made sure to get acknowledgement from the theater nazi who informed me that my child wasn’t welcome. (She acted better than some of the adults) But, it was with my whole family, on Broadway, on a fantastic family vacation. So, why should I complain at all!!?
We enjoyed the show and everyone one was so very nice .
It was totally worth it to go even in this Coronavirus time. The performance was spectacular! The singing was so beautiful and the costumes were fantastic! I would go see it again!
The price was right. Our seats were good and the concessions were affordable. Overall an amazing experience.
Being a fan of Wizard of Oz was very surprised how all details no matter how small all came together!!! Loved it
This was our first Broadway show and we were very impressed! The singers, stage, acting was high quality! Thank you for a great 1st Broadway show!
