About

Pioneers of the Red Dirt music scene and one of America's most beloved bands, Turnpike Troubadours has amassed a massive following throughout their renowned career with more than 2.2 billion streams globally and over 1.7 million equivalent units sold. Since their debut in 2005, the band has released seven studio albums, performed countless sold-out headline shows, appeared in Paramount's hit show "Yellowstone" and were inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. Most recently, Turnpike Troubadours added to their historic career with the release of their new surprise album, The Price of Admission, which debuted at #1 on the iTunes all-genre and country charts and earned them their highest Spotify chart debuts to date. The eagerly awaited follow up to their widely acclaimed 2023 album, A Cat in the Rain, The Price of Admission further cements the band as an undeniable force in the music world and led Whiskey Riff to declare "Turnpike Troubadours have continued to prove time and time again that they are the greatest band of all time." Originally from Tahlequah, OK, Turnpike Troubadours is Evan Felker (vocals, guitar), Kyle Nix (fiddle), Ryan Engleman (electric guitar), RC Edwards (bass), Gabe Pearson (drums) and Hank Early (steel, accordion).

  • Just awesome!

    by Jerry H. on 8/29/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Beautiful night after a hot week. All of the acts were outstanding. Wish they all could have played a bit longer, but 4 acts makes for a long night. Hats off to the sounds engineers! It sounded great.

  • Had a freaking blast!

by SJK on 8/29/23Rating: 5 out of 5

If you get the chance, do yourself a favor and go see Turnpike Troubadours!

  • Turned it up!

by JC on 8/29/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Such a beautiful night with amazing musicians. The turnpike Troubadours turned it up! And the Avett Bros were amazing as usual. A really great show.

  • Nice night/Avett Bros were amazing

by Peaches on 8/29/23Rating: 3 out of 5

Great show - Avett Bros were the highlight for me! So enthusiastic - really enjoyed the musical talent and wonderful harmonizing. Turnpike was solid and much better than last year at this time. But disappointed no to hear more of their new music. Hearing the same old songs is good - but I'm tiring of them and was really pumped about the new music. Only hearing three songs was disappointing to say the least.

  • AMAZEBALLS

by KDub on 8/29/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I’ve been to dozens and dozens of concerts, but this may have been the best. The atmosphere was insane. Thousands of people singing every word and living in the moment. The audio was absolutely perfect and the band was EN FUEGO 🔥. It was perfect.

  • Awesome

Great Band, but ticket master had the wrong times listed for door opening and start times.

  • Outstanding concert!

  • Turnpike Troubadours are Amazing!!!

by Black Sheep Arms LLC on 8/29/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Turnpike Troubadours brought down the house at Sandstone! Amazing Performance! Could've skipped on the Avett Brothers.

  • Great headliner; so-so opening acts

by Jerry Mignery on 8/29/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Turnpike Troubadours was amazing. I've seen them live a half dozen times, and they continue to put on a fantastic show for fans. The Avett Brothers were fine (good sound mixing and energy). The Old 97s were downright bad. You could barely hear their sound, they lacked energy, and their music was lackluster.

  • Wish just turnpike would play

by Ak on 8/29/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Did not enjoy the first 4 hours of the show with the other bands playing. Should’ve sat this show out and saved money. Last years show was way better.

  • Ozark Amphitheater/ Turnpike Troubadours

    by Michael J. on 8/29/23Rating: 4 out of 5

This is an incredible venue. Not a bad seat in the house! The sound crew needs to be recognized. The band was amazing as usual, didn’t play the one song that I went to hear. My fault for not checking the set list. All in all, it was a great show.

  • Awesome concert!

by Daniel on 8/28/23Rating: 5 out of 5

This was an awesome concert with a great venue! I was so happy to see this band live! One of my favorites of all time. The Avett Brothers and the opening band was top notch also! The venue was awesome!

  • Great band!

by KG on 8/28/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Would see them again! Great lyrics and love the variety of instruments used. The only issue was the balance of instruments to vocals at that particular show.

  • Turnpike Troubadours

by Tina on 8/28/23Rating: 5 out of 5

A+ My family and I love their music so much. The concert was awesome and their new album was released that same day, so we knew all the new music too. It was a fun crowd and a great venue. I gave a 5 star review but the parking lot absolutely SUCKS. Girls, do not wear heels, it's all rocks and unless you arrive very early, you are going to walk far. But like I said the venue itself is nice and great selection of alcohol. But the Turnpike Troubadours are outstanding!!!

  • Felker Shines - Fiddle Failure

    by John/Merc/Tulsa on 8/28/23Rating: 3 out of 5

Felker was terrific! .... reminded me at times of some old Dylan. 5 stars. The fiddle player had a bad night. I don't know what he was loaded on but his performance was a negative and made a difference especially in the last few songs. He stumbled through some of the key fiddle moments of the night and he was actually faking it on the final song of the night. I know he's a replacement for Kyle Nix, but these songs don't require anything technically exceptional from the fiddle...just hit the notes! I'd say if he had another night like that, I would boot him...Note to fiddler: Sober up and practice til you get it right.

  • Second best experience

by An old man on 8/28/23Rating: 4 out of 5

On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being their show I attended last year at Red Rocks, I would rate the show Friday in Missouri as 8. The band seemed to not have as much energy. I remember there were at least two encore songs at Red Rocks. There was no encore Friday night. To be fair, the acoustics at Red Rocks cannot be beat. Different crowd, different atmosphere, different energy. And Colorado in May is much cooler than Missouri in August. Friday night was well worth the drive from Louisiana. Especially when they played The Bird Hunters, probably the best lyrics ever written. Considering most of todays country songs are about drinking, a song that mentions a Belgium-made Browning is a gem.

  • Great

  • Best concert yet!

by Ariel on 8/28/23Rating: 5 out of 5

They absolutely killed it! This my 7th live Turnpike Troubadours show and honestly it was my favorite. They were so engaging and they played all of my favs plus their new songs.

  • Bad sound quality

by Bad sound on 8/28/23Rating: 2 out of 5

The sound quality at Pinnacle Arena is awful. We could barely distinguish the instruments the Avett Brothers were playing. It was disappointing and frustrating. And this is now the third concert we've seen there where we walked away wondering why we bothered to come to this venue again. We decided we will not see another concert there. It's not worth the hassle, money and disappointment.
