About

They say fashion is cyclical... and they’re right. Truly amazing things never go out of style, regardless of when they first popped up. Toto’s tune ‘Africa’ is one of these things. First heard in 1982, this masterpiece of popular prog has been a staple of pop culture since release. Taken from their massive second album Toto IV, it combined their other calling card Rosanna to introduce Toto to a massive audience. That record would go on to win several Grammy Awards and establish a base from which the band grew into one of the most prolific and durable acts in modern music history. Musically mind blowing and with more hits that you can poke a stick at, there’s no doubt that people will ask “where were you when Toto played Festival Hall?” for years to come.

    Toto concert

by 50/50 on 4/26/24Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

Was a great show Mershon Auditorium is a nice place 2 see shows holds 2500 ppl if I’m right . Highly recommend this venue parking garages are near by or you can fhgt see Uber or Lyft if you live around Columbus Ohio then that’s fine also. But the Acoustics are not bad either place you can see stage from anywhere if you get off 2 the side some your view could be blocked just a little BBCg by speakers hanging down from the stage .easy in easy out when show is over but have 2 deal with traffic getting out of the parking garages.

    Unbelievable Show

by Abbyone on 4/25/24Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

I must admit, while I am a ToTo fan, I would not have gone to this concert if my husband did not suggest we go. I would have missed out on one of the best concerts I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot! Steve Lukather is incredible and the rest of the band was amazing. I have only heard better harmonies from the Eagles (with Glenn Fry). I would highly recommend seeing them if you get the chance. Entertaining, great musicians and great music!

Whoever was running the soundboard ruined the show for us

by Gwen on 4/24/24Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

I wish I could leave a review just for the soundboard. My one star doesn't necessarily reflect the band, but I wouldn't know how to rate the band since we left after 30 minutes simply because the overall sound - vocals & instruments - was a muddled mess. The bass from drums and guitar were tuned to 'blast your face off' - you could feel the bass through your whole body which completely distorted every other instrument and vocal(s); the volume was way too much which seemed to add to the distortion. Toto is a band with beautiful instrumentation and vocals which were completely lost at our show. We were very disappointed.

    It was excellent, but.....

by Jeno7340 on 4/24/24Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

As every time I see TOTO, they are excellent, but they bass was way too overpowering. It dround out the keyboards, and the sax. When I saw them @ The Midland in 2023, everything was perfect. I'm not sure if it was the venue or what? Regardless, the show was super and I still enjoyed it immensely.! I will go see them any time they come to town!

    Not Great

by Jeff G on 4/24/24Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

Didn't realize they were starting right on on time. Very strange...been to a lot of concerts and have never seen one start so close to on time. I have no problem with the concept but just communicate it. We missed the first 4 songs and they only played about 13. Was disappointing. Maybe I should stick to shows AEG promotes?

    Toto made it fun!

by TEK on 4/24/24Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

I'm happy to report that we enjoyed our first concert of 2024 Sunday night at Ohio State's Mershon Auditorium with the very talented and entertaining band TOTO! Steve Lukather and Joseph Williams and their 5 band mates lived it up for a 2-hour set featuring the classic TOTO tunes we have loved for over 40 years ... Hold the Line, 99, I'll Be Over You, Rosanna, Africa, and more. The guys showed a lot of personality and it looked like they were having as much fun as we were. Good show!!

    Toto was Awesome! Venue lacked

by Tusmuth on 4/24/24Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

Fantastic band! Great light show! Everything would have been perfect except for the audience. Aside from money, why serve alcohol? Id rather pay more $ per ticket and not sell alcohol. Bunch of drunks all around with beer burps, beer farts, and constantly getting up and going for another beer or to the bathroom. People spilling drinks too. Nasty beer breath and BO all around. The band gets a 5 star. The venue and audience gets 1 star.

Great show but a lot of filler

by Cosmo in Ohio on 4/24/24Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

Toto has done a great job bringing in some new younger guys and have kept the Toto sound. Very good performances. My only dog is the amount of filler content. A drum solo, keyboard solo and another im blanking on. Several favorites were left out. I'd go again so 4 stars it is. Mershon Auditorium was a great venue. 5 stars there.

Toto - A Blast from the Past

by TG on 4/24/24Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

The Mershon Auditorium is a great venue with parking co-located to the venue. The staff are very helpful and considerate. Toto was an excellent concert. They played straight through without a break. Hitting all the notes as in times past. The instrumentals were amazing with the great acoustics of the venue. Recommended

    Great concert

by EscToEden on 4/24/24Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

The concert was great, their performance awesome although I was a bit disappointed when they did not sing my No. 1 song or “Georgy Porgy”.

    Amazing

by Marie on 4/24/24MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

One word - AMAZING 🤩 Fantastic show. They sounded exactly the same as they did years ago. A change in their original members showed no differences in their performance.

    Good concert; sound quality variable

by Logan on 4/22/24MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

The SOUND BOARD guy is controlling my experience. I had great seats; front 1/3rd; center stage. When the BASS was not too loud, sound quality was good but there was one song where the Speakers were rattling! That's DISTORTION and bad sound is the result. Band performance was acceptable but not nearly as TIGHT as their studio albums. Overall enjoyable....just wish they had a better sound system that would produce the bass without robbing the system of band-width and sound quality.
