Many great movies...saw only a half of the ones I wanted to see
Favourite time of year in Toronto . The Toronto Film Festival is simply the best time for film buffs . Enjoy it every year .
TIFF is the best week of the year. So many excellent movies to choose from. Blockbusters to small hidden gems. Become a member or a volunteer to enjoy it even more!
Saw Millers in Marriage. Cool to hear the actors were seeing it first time and to hear their take on the movie, as well as talk by the writer/director about his vision for the movie. Great stuff!
The team and organization, volunteers and vibe were all great. Unfortunately the tickets are simply both too pricey, and too difficult to actually get one's hands on, to really be worth it.
For a film addict like me, this was a truly wonderful experience. This was the first film festival I've attended and will not be my last!
Loved both the last republican and blue rose documentaries. Both were truly fascinating and so well made.Really enjoyed the question and answer sessions at the end, especially having Adam Kinzinger present at the last republican! Volunteers really helped everything to run smoothly.
Great experience in Toronto- films are fantastic… but as a first time visitor really struggled with the online process
The movie Vermiglio, so deep and powerful, exploring the culture where I can relay myself. Stunningly beautiful the music, scenery, actors and actresses were so good. The story was really done about a family in a remote Italian village. Congratulations to the Director and Produces, Royal Alexandra Theatre was the venue and was very comfortable watching the premiere of this movie. Thank you.
I had a really amazing time, there were a lot of really great programs and films to see. Midnight madness is always fun and I loved to see all the the directors and actors around for q&a sessions after screenings. One thing I really missed from last year was the open air events on king street. They had a number of really awesome concerts outside for the general public from electro house, to indie rock, to famous bands like Nickelback. This really made the festival come to life and kept the atmosphere in the area electrified. I can see there may have been complaints about the noise but I would still love to see this return somehow.
Bought a membership. Incredibly hard to navigate the offers, movies or find showtimes and apply promo codes. Feels intentionally difficult.
It's no surprise that the people working TIFF are magnificent. Kind, professional, and delightful. The theater was wonderful. And the film... bravo to Julie Delpy for creating a fabulous, funny, and thoughtful movie that I hope is shown everywhere. This year was my first attending TIFF and only by chance, being in Toronto for family events, but I will definitely be back to take full advantage of it next year!
Always a joy to see all genres of cinema at the festival
This was the first time my wife & I had attended TIFF. We flew in from LA and arrived in the afternoon of the first day of the festival (Thu). We headed back home the following Tuesday. We attended four screenings, all of which were great. The overall event was extremely well organized and Downtown Toronto was "buzzing"with people and attractions all linked to the festival. Toronto is a wonderful location offering a wide range of additional attractions that are all very accessible - including Toronto Island (only a short ferry ride away). It was very impressive and thoroughly enjoyable long weekend and we're keen to return.
First time to attend this film festival , i am happy to see my idol hyunbin and his movie Harbin . Very organized festival!
I travel TTC daily...yet even though I allowed double travel time to get to show, I got there too late. Snail pace Kingston Road streetcar, Traffic jams on King, King shuttle bus drivers that did not know the area or where to stop. So lost $90+ on the ticket. In future will never attend TIFF on an opening weekend.
Would like to thank the volunteers who made the difference. For facilitating our older friends and those with accessibility issues. There speedy assistance truly made the experience wonderful.
Better Man-awesome, touching, relatable, great surprise
Very good movie loved seeing Andrea Bocelli loved the detail into almost life. Loved seeing his wife
