    Awe-struck

by SueGG on 2/19/24Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction

Watching athletic performances I would never do but love watching others do in fantastic scenery. The camera operators should win a prize too!

    First Time, Was Great!

by GoGoJo on 2/19/24Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction

Videos were engaging and moving. Lots of color, scenery and kick-ask action. Overall a great night. One drawback was audio/sound set dangerously loud for those of us who are trying to protect our hearing. Next time will bring ear plugs.

    Banff Films

by Fran on 2/19/24Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction

Great films. The collage of snippets at the beginning was fantastic. Other films were very good, although some were a bit long, causing the whole program to be too long. Great way to raise $ and awareness for local outdoor programs.

More Outdoor Adventure Less Human Interest

by West Slope Steve on 2/19/24Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction

The films were all quality productions, but I attend Banff FF for the adrenalin rush, not the human interest stories that were the dominant theme of the evening. An LA kid interested in amphibians is great, but belongs on PBS, not Banff. Berkie tandem skiers was entertaining and probably the best film of the evening. Mountain biker destroying wilderness by going off trail has no place in this series.

    Soul Touching

by Heather on 2/18/24Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction

The films they show stay with you long after you leave the theater. A piece of them stay with you forever. You only see them with Banff Film Festival!!

    Great films!

by Lc on 2/8/24The National Theatre - Washington

I loved the film selection. The location was good because it was near Metro stations in the downtown.

    Fantastically Inspiring and Humbling!

by BFFFAN on 2/5/24The National Theatre - Washington

Extreme adventures and/or extreme locations beautiful photographed. It is always awesome, inspiring and a bit humbling. True eye candy. I truly get lost in the stories and the scenery.

poor screen quality and speakers were not working

by DDL on 4/17/23Bally's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

what a disappointment. The screen was WAY TOO SMALL for the size of the venue, and only one side of the auditorium the speakers were working. The screen had a huge scratch that ran all the way across the screen and was annoying. With films of better quality, it was a shame the festival had such poor facilities to show their films.

My biggest complaint was the subtitles

by Hil on 3/22/23Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

The subtitles were white and most of the background (snow for instance) was white. So, you couldn’t read them. Pretty bad mistake I would say All the extremes sports movies were a tad bit much.

    EXCELLENT!

by Merann on 3/18/23Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

Loved ALL the films we saw at BANFF! They were varied and inspiring to live better. Live harder. Live with a bigger mindset. The only problem was we were unable to finish the film of two athletes biking and skiing across Europe, and I’m a cyclist and wanted to see how it ended! It was a technical difficulty I guess, but they went to intermission then picked up with the next video in the series. Otherwise I would have definitely rated the experience 5 stars!
