Absolutely Excellent Entertainment

You simply can't get a better game show experience that travels to you (or at least fairly close to you) anywhere else on the planet! You should understand before going in that your chances of getting up on stage are slim (about 1 in 100), and the prizes on offer are not TV show level... at max, you stand to win a few thousand dollars or a nice trip, unless you're EXTREMELY lucky or good at pricing. You don't win the prize up for bid, and you don't get to spin the wheel if you get called up to bid. That's the trade-off made to ensure the maximum number of people get a chance to play, and I feel it's pretty fair. Everything is random chance, so as long as you take 5 minutes to sign up online before taking your seat, you have as much of a chance as anyone else in attendance. Personall, I feel like the chance of winning is secondary to the positively electric feeling of being in the audience and participating in the closest thing to a real Price is Right episode east of California. The set looks gorgeous, the props look and feel just like you see on tv each day (if a bit smaller for travel reasons), the music and sound effects are spot on... and did I mention the host? Todd Newton is AMAZING, full stop. The fact that we're not watching him on TV each day instead of Drew is a tragedy. He remarks how Bob Barker taught him how to be a host, and it shines through for the roughly 2 hours of the show. Add in a great announcer and model, and you've got yourself a heck of a show. I will personally go back to TPIR Live every time it comes nearby, not just for the chance to win but just to drink in and savor the experience. For a few hours I felt like a kid watching my favorite show at my grandparents' house again... and you can't get that feeling just anywhere.
