About The Price Is Right Live

In 1972, a part of TV history began its journey with the premier of The Price Is Right on CBS. When contestants heeded host Bob Barker's iconic call to "Come on down!" and take part in what has become one of America's most beloved game shows, a legacy started that would last for decades to come. The Price Is Right is one of the most popular, longest-running TV shows ever, so it's not surprising that it spawned a stage version in 2002. When you attend The Price Is Right Live, you may not be on TV but you're still getting the full experience. Whether you're one of the randomly selected contestants or a spectator, you see the classic games played out before your eyes, as people do their best to guess prices in order to win cash and prizes.

  • Absolutely Excellent Entertainment

I fancy myself a bit of a game show nerd, so believe me when I say that no one does it better than The Price is Right Live. You simply can't get a better game show experience that travels to you (or at least fairly close to you) anywhere else on the planet! You should understand before going in that your chances of getting up on stage are slim (about 1 in 100), and the prizes on offer are not TV show level... at max, you stand to win a few thousand dollars or a nice trip, unless you're EXTREMELY lucky or good at pricing. You don't win the prize up for bid, and you don't get to spin the wheel if you get called up to bid. That's the trade-off made to ensure the maximum number of people get a chance to play, and I feel it's pretty fair. Everything is random chance, so as long as you take 5 minutes to sign up online before taking your seat, you have as much of a chance as anyone else in attendance. Personall, I feel like the chance of winning is secondary to the positively electric feeling of being in the audience and participating in the closest thing to a real Price is Right episode east of California. The set looks gorgeous, the props look and feel just like you see on tv each day (if a bit smaller for travel reasons), the music and sound effects are spot on... and did I mention the host? Todd Newton is AMAZING, full stop. The fact that we're not watching him on TV each day instead of Drew is a tragedy. He remarks how Bob Barker taught him how to be a host, and it shines through for the roughly 2 hours of the show. Add in a great announcer and model, and you've got yourself a heck of a show. I will personally go back to TPIR Live every time it comes nearby, not just for the chance to win but just to drink in and savor the experience. For a few hours I felt like a kid watching my favorite show at my grandparents' house again... and you can't get that feeling just anywhere.

  • Great experience

I thought it was a great show. The prizes were great. But signing up to be a contestant was not made clear ahead of time or even when you got in there if you didn’t have service on your phone. I was disappointed about that other than that the show was amazing.

  • So Much Fun!

by Carol on 9/26/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

We had so much fun. It was true to the TV version. Tickets were reasonable. A lot of the excitement was not knowing if your name would be called. An audience member won a trip to London! Loved it! Would go again.

The show was great! The host was awesome - great with the contestants & audience. The announcer was great too. I purchased great seats too!

  • Amazing

by Demi on 9/25/24Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater - BridgeportRating: 5 out of 5

I went with coworkers, it was a great team building exercise. A coworker’s son was called to the stage. The only thing could’ve made it better would’ve been is if I was called to the stage and won. LOL.

  • Disappointed

by Tina on 9/24/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 1 out of 5

Very disappointed was not what I expected, barely any prize give away more talking then playing the game also feel the young lady had the right price for the show and I feel the show under priced the showcase I will not ever go again waste of money.

Oh my gosh, it was great. We had a blast, me and my girlfriend. My daughter was supposed to go, but she couldn't and we stayed in a hotel. It was just awesome. The show was great.

  • good time

by Twinks on 9/24/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 4 out of 5

It was a good show. Will call was a little bit of a headache, but it worked fine for me. I don't know how the rest of the line felt about it. Suggest that you get to the show 45 minutes before the show for will call.

  • It was a fun night but I think to expensive

by Big Dan on 9/24/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 3 out of 5

The show was fun and a few people won nice prizes . I just believe the cost for the show was too much .

  • So much fun!

The show was such a fun experience! I am a huge fan of the regular show on TV, and I figured, "Why not go see it?"I'm so glad I did!

  • Amazing night - lots of energy!

by Rups on 9/24/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

I loved watching the show growing up but I didn't have super high expectations for a live show. Boy was I wrong! There were all of the favourite elements, some of the most popular games, and I couldn't believe the actual prizes they gave out. They called out about 25 contestants during the show plus gave out instant prizes to audience members. While (unfortunately) I didn't get called down or win anything, it was amazing to see how involved the audience got when helping others. It was definitely a show I'll remember.

  • Fun Experience!!
