About The Price Is Right Live

In 1972, a part of TV history began its journey with the premier of The Price Is Right on CBS. When contestants heeded host Bob Barker's iconic call to "Come on down!" and take part in what has become one of America's most beloved game shows, a legacy started that would last for decades to come. The Price Is Right is one of the most popular, longest-running TV shows ever, so it's not surprising that it spawned a stage version in 2002. When you attend The Price Is Right Live, you may not be on TV but you're still getting the full experience. Whether you're one of the randomly selected contestants or a spectator, you see the classic games played out before your eyes, as people do their best to guess prices in order to win cash and prizes.

  • Not worth the money

by winstonasalemresident on 2/7/13War Memorial Auditorium - GreensboroRating: 1 out of 5

People in the audience were the best part, being able to see everyone excited is fun. But it's not worth the 95 dollars for two tickets. I thought the show would last longer, especially when they announced they are going to be there are night long and had plenty of time. But no it started at 8pm and stopped at 9:25pm. No kidding 30 minutes of the show was showing past videos and the announcers talking. The announcers were very good. The prizes aren't like the show. They had a nice side by side refrigerator and the showcase (for only 1 person) had headphones, electric mixer, 50" LG tv with a year subscription with blockbuster, and a new Ford fiesta. The prizes that you can win by just being in the audience are t-shirts that say the price is right live. My husband and I got there at 4:00 and just to register and the line was Black Friday Long! It didn't take too long we waited an hour and signed up then came back at 6:10 to get in our seats and the line and crowd was worse! Lucky we had patience and weren't in bad moods. We sat down at 7:30 and waited til the show started at 8pm. It's really not worth the money and when you see how many people come to sign up you know it's a long shot to be picked to play a game.

  • Soooo not worth the money$$$$$$$$

by HollandsMom on 2/3/13Greensboro coliseum auditorium - GreensboroRating: 1 out of 5

Wherrrre to start!!!!...first off...waiting in a line for an hour and a half in freezing cold to EVEN register to be able to be called out on the show....And I thought that woulda be included with the show, BUT NOOOOOO, anyone could come register ....so u got no special preregistering...And....if I didn't look on the coliseum's website I would have never even known to go register Four hours prior to the show!! Many people, especially the elderly people got there and the look on their faces was awful when they found out that if you didn't register you couldn't be called to play!!! And the prizes were not that great, nothing like the show prizes, which I learned to expect, but still, was surprised. It was nice to see all the games and the hosts were funny, maybe coulda enjoyed it more if it were fair to the people who actually bought a ticket!!!!

  • Fun Times at the Price is RIght Live!

by ozarksgirl on 11/26/12Welk Theatre - BransonRating: 4 out of 5

I went to the Price is Right Live in Branson with some friends and had a great time. We plan on going back next month. I wasn't expecting the show to be exactly like the Price is Right TV show and just went to have fun. A lot of people have very high expectations for this show. I did get called down and won an entertainment center and tv. Of course I was very excited about it and my friends were excited for me. Even if I hadn't gotten chosen to 'Come on Down" it's the excitement of just being there and seeing other people win. The only negative comment is that it takes so long to get the prizes. It takes up to 4 months...........when you win the prize you don't realize you will have to wait a third of a year to receive your prize.

  • pretty darn good

by daee on 11/15/12orphum - Sioux cityRating: 4 out of 5

I thought they did a good job and involved as many people as they could from the people that were there. could have had a better final showcase for prizes though. Took my grandaughter and she loves the show and thought she would be disappointed as it is a lower key show but she had a great time and waa into it. Like going to a semi pro hockey event. not as good as the tv version but pretty darn good and had fun.

  • Great Show! Lets keep expectations reasonable!

by AaronNC on 10/23/12Progress Energy Center - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

Randy West warmed up the crowd very well and was a superb announcer. Todd Newton is an excellent host with great charisma--No one will ever replace Bob, but I personally liked his style better than Drew's more reserved/dry mannerisms. The most important thing with the show is to have a realistic expectation. This show is a fun way to participate, for most simply as an audience member, in a person's favorite gameshow. Too many people have expectations that this will be just like the real show, but that simply is unrealistic. There wouldn't be a show if they gave away more money than they made, and realistically with a traveling show like this, they can't give a car away every show. It is important to know the rule changes to help you enjoy the show more and not be disappointed: 1) New contestant rows before each game (4 new bidders each time). 2) Only one Big Wheel with 3 random contestants competing for $250 ($100 for $1 spin). 3) Cash prizes are less (think hundreds rather than thousands). 4) 2 new random contestants for the showcase. Both bid on a single showcase. 5) You only get the car in the showcase if you guess within $150 of the price. In my opinion these rules are reasonable adjustments that allow for an excellent show that can be sustained and allow as many people as possible to join in on the fun. Thanks to the Price is Right Live!

  • GREAT SHOW

Went to the Sands Casino Event Center in Bethlehem to see the show and it was really fun the crowd was crazy and it was entertaining even tho i didn't have my name called, the prizes aren't like you see on TV but they were still good and worth it, i can't wait to go again!

  • Rip Off!

    by KayKay59 on 10/12/12Jackpot Junction Casino - MortonRating: 1 out of 5

If you go there expecting it to be the real thing, forget it. A couple thousand people jammed into a room with a no-name host and video presentations of the prizes! What a waste of money for the tickets.

So much fun! Would totally do this again....and wish I could!

  • by Anonymous on 10/6/12Harrahs - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

I have seen a lot of bad reviews here, just saw the show it was a lot better then what other people say. Yes the show is different, and the prizes are not as good as the show, but its a $27 show, what do you expect? You have a chance to get on stage (about 25 people get called on stage). And if you like the price of right you will love the show, if you never watched the price of right and never liked it don't come, that is all the show is about.

  • PRICE IS RIGHT LIVE : ITZ A SCAM

by WARNING1234 on 10/3/12The Price is Right Live - TallahasseeRating: 1 out of 5

I went to the price is right live in Tallahassee, Fl at the civic Center. TOTAL SCAM. There was much hype about nothing, a big black curtain with a white price is right logo. They do things way different from the real price is right and No one won any substantial prizes.. the highest value prize was a 3 day trip to Las Vegas about 1,200 value. The rest were just teashirts and small prizes that a person could get at Walmart. A lot of time you sit there and just watch two screens with reruns of the real price is right. Any big prize is not likely to be awarded, because they use tricks parameters for the win. This show is giving the real price is right a bad name. Fans of the real price is right were unprepared for a real disappointment.

  • price is right live

    by Imafriend on 9/28/12price is right-live - LakelandRating: 1 out of 5

What a rip-off! advertized 25k in cash and prizes to be given out. didn't even come close! lots of hype that didn't deliver. On the way out heard lots of complaining. If you are in for a big let down and like to waste your time and money by all means make these yahoo's even richer.

  • Biggest waste of time and money

    by Proud13MOM on 9/26/12Times-Union Moran Theatre - JacksonvilleRating: 1 out of 5

My boyfriend loves the Price is Right. I thought I'd surprise him by taking him to the "Live" show for his birthday. I was upset that I wasted $44.95 per ticket for such a horrible evening. The prizes were cheap considering the price of each tickets and the low number of selected "contestants". The host was horrible although he clearly thought he was funny. The Showcase Showdown was a joke. The consolation prizes were T-SHIRTS!!! Everyone needed to receive a T-shirt just for attending. I can't believe the Price is Right game show would allow their name to be used by such a poor production. I don't know if I will ever watch the Price is Right again. PLEASE do NOT waste your money if this show comes to a city near you!

  • Great fun.

by Cab1986 on 9/17/12Harrah's Hotel and Casino - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

Ugh... had a long review written then deleted it on accident. Long and short of it: Show was good. Prizes on the games are less valuable (for example, the highest amount on Plinko is $500 but you have 4 chances to hit it...thus $2000) but that's certainly resonable w/ what I suspect to be the cost of a traveling show. Consolation prizes given the non-winners. Jerry Springer is a riot. Definitely worth reliving the memories (and a chance to win) for something as small as $27.

  • VERY DISAPPOINTING!

by JamesCharest on 9/17/12Harrah's Resort - Atlantic cityRating: 1 out of 5

The announcer tried to get everybody into it before the show began. Lucky for me i was the first one called to come on down. i bid 326 on a camera! yes i $1 somebody. Jerry Springer goes out saying how im a bad person i must hate the person next to me and everything. he had stupid crude jokes throughout. After i got done bidding on the camera which i lost by the way. They gave me a t shirt and told me to go back to my seat! im like i thought i bought a ticket to do the price is right? i got called down expecting i would be there for at least 6 chances to bid like the tv show! but nope got sent back to my seat everybody did! the prizes were really bad. the showcase they try to rip people off! they didn't even offer anybody to win a car on any of the normal games!!! This was a complete Failure! save your money trust me!

  • Sham

by Nottherightprice on 9/15/12The Price Is Right Live - SaltLake CityRating: 1 out of 5

I attended this "performance" on September 14th in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was a cheap fabrication, and seemingly staged. An unfulfilling experience. I DO NOT recommend purchasing tickets for this event.

  • by Anonymous on 9/13/12Pikes Peak Center - Colorado SpringsRating: 2 out of 5

This is the biggest rip off of the real show they could make. It is not very long, which would be fine if the prizes were substantial but they are not. There are about 5 games, one big wheel spin, and one showcase. They say a lot more people win prizes, but their big prize is an overly large T-shirt. Plinko is 1/20th of the amount it is on the real show, and all their other games are like this too. When it comes time for the showcase they bring out a new car and then they slip in at the very end that you have to be within $100 dollars of the showcase to win it all. The car they bring out is a new 2012 nissan versa, which is only worth about 11,500 which always throws contestants off so its hard to win at all. I got the feeling through the whole show they were trying to swindle everyone...like a bad car salesman. I would NOT suggest going to this.

  • The Price is Wrong, Bob!

by thesnitchboard on 8/20/12Jackpot Junction - MortonRating: 1 out of 5

This was a HUGE disappointment. The production was low rent. The host was a total bore. Worst of all were the ridiculously sad prizes. I really don't get how this has been around for ten years touring the country. It gives you the hope of having a taste of being on the actual Price is Right, but don't be fooled. It was just....plain....dumb!
