  • Loved the experience and nostalgia!

by Robbie on 11/28/24The Museum at Bethel Woods - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

It was a thrill to bring my teenage grandchildren to witness the 60’s era. They couldn't get over that I know so much of the music that I sang along with. Museum is good for several different age groups. We loved it!

Just beautiful. The docent was very knowledgeable. Exhibits were wonderful. Loved how they tied in the world events to the music festival

  • The bus came by and we got On!

by Kevin M on 10/19/24The Museum at Bethel Woods - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

Being kids back in 1969 we were too young to have experienced the epic concert event known as Woodstock. Growing up in the 70’s we experienced the aftermath of the music and culture that was Woodstock. To this day we listen to classic rock as it is known now and attend some stadium concerts and others in smaller venues of the groups or individuals who played Woodstock. We really enjoyed our visit and actually learned a thing or two. While visiting the museum serval buses of grade school students were on a field trip to watch the 30 minute movie. These kids were approximately our age when Woodstock happened and now it is history.

  • Great visit to the past in Bethel

by Chatles on 10/11/24The Museum at Bethel Woods - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

This was a magnificent journey into the past. The events of those August days in 1969 were artfully explained. The best part was the individual participant's stories. The love bug and the peace bus were a close second. While out of the way to some, it is a great [lace to see the actual; spot where it all occurred. On the must places to visit.

  • A Magical-Mystical Tour Through Time

by Spouse of Original Woodstock Attendee on 10/10/24The Museum at Bethel Woods - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

This was my 1st visit to Bethel & the Woodstock Museum. I have heard the first hand accounts from my husband for decades and returning was on his bucket list. Keeping the actual field open & untouched- it was hallowed ground. The museum itself is spectacular in capturing the times, the history, the music and the revolution of consciousness. Bravo!

  • Living History!!

by Wish I could have been there! on 10/6/24The Museum at Bethel Woods - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

I loved stepping back in time, hearing music from that era, and remembering emotions. Who knew Woodstock would be Living a Historical moment! I didn’t get to go because of lack of funds, being too young & having parents who were dead-set against it! Now I can relive that moment in time by visiting the best museum ever!!!

Interesting place to visit. I have always been fascinated with Woodstock. I was just 8 years old when the real one occurred. Being at the location and learning more about it was fun for me.

  • Far out!

by Matej on 9/24/24The Museum at Bethel Woods - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

After visiting the holly place 26 years ago, when there was nothing reminding on the 3 days of peace, love and music festival but the plaque (and the peace sign in the mid of the lawn), I was a bit sceptical about the apparent commercialisation. But....it is far above my expectations! Great museum that takes you back to the garden!

  • Great afternoon

by Coco’s Dad on 9/19/24The Museum at Bethel Woods - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

We were thoroughly engaged in Bethel Woods’ Main Gate tour of the Woodstock grounds followed by a visit to the museum. Well worth the time and money.

  • Exceeded expectations

This is a well illustrated and arranged documentation of the 1960s, which captures the remarkable series of events all occurring within this decade. I was impressed by the display of community, idealism, and hopefulness captured in the recollections of those who spoke later of the Woodstock experience. Walking some of the grounds on which people gathered for the festival brought it alive and captured the spirit otherwise displayed in photos. Visitors thus experience the festival while they are absorbing the history.
