Truly a magical experience! The actors & actresses were phenomenal.
The performance itself was great, the length of the play was a bit much. 2.5 hours is long for something that could have been completed in an hour and a half. The voices and acting were very good but the whole performance lacked a wow factor. Went to see the rockettes and that had a huge wow factor. Even the lion king performance at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has more of a wow factor over this performance.
Enjoyed a two-day stay in NYC and made the theater a part of this wonderful experience. Lion King is the best for all ages. Not only entertaining with music and on stage performances in general, but can capture many hearts with its animation, colors and music. Hats off to an experience I will never forget.
The performers, costumes, music and entire production were outstanding. Kids loved it. The theatre also has more leg room than others I visited in my week in NY
A stunning and theatric performance of the Lion King, bringing childhood memories to life. A true credit to the original The Lion King, and the 2019 cinematic re-release. Fabulous actors, fantastic performance. Highly recommend anyone to watch this show in broadway, you won't be disappointed.
Excellent performers, music was unbelievable. Powerful voices that really made you feel the character. I definitely recommend to everyone. Small theatre but very clean and organized.
This show was by far one of the Best Broadway Shows I've attended. The mechanics, costumes and acting was stellar. I can't wait to surprise my niece with taking her to this show..
I saw this fifteen years ago and was in awe it was the best musical I had ever seen. I thought I would be watching new costumes, implementaron of new ideas, more theatrical entertainment. It was the same dated costumes, props and make up. I was not impressed at all. No wow factor Lille it was many years ago. Everything needs to be updated!!!
Couldn't be more happier with the show. The performance was well worth the cost of the tickets. I purchased tickets in the orchestra section - mid way up, straight in the middle. I could see clearly, no heads in the way or obstacles. Music- was fantastic, brought back memories of when my kids were young. Costumes - unbelievable. My son and I loved them. Both of our favorites - small elephant and giraffes. Gentle reminders from ticketmaster were perfect. Kept me on track Overall experience - 10 stars. Location - in the heart of the city, close to restaurants and Times square. Walking distance to many of the key attractions.
It is my second time and I have enjoyed even more than the first one since I could discover new things during the show. Extremelly recomendable.
The Lion King Musical was more Amazing than could have imagined from start to finish I was mesmerized ....suitable for all ages.
I highly recommend going to see Lion King in NYC. This was the BEST play I have ever seen and such a magical experience. The only thing I did not like was the theatre itself. It is very outdated. Seats are super tight and you are basically sitting on top of each other and the seats don’t even have a drink holder , so you have to hold it the entire time or put it on the floor and hope it doesn’t get kicked over. The performance itself was an A+!
From the opening sequence with animal characters coming to the stage through the aisles, Lion King did not disappoint. I have seen the show before on a national tour and knew what to expect but it was still a joy to watch these characters come alive once again. My companion had never experienced the show and was overwhelmed with its spectacular effects and characters. We were both happy to see it on Broadway this December as part of our honeymoon in the Big Apple. Well done!!!
The Lion King performance was simply amazing from start to finish. The cast was stellar, from young Simba and Nala through to very polished Rafiki. Seeing the cast perform in the aisle right next to my seat, including the large animals brought tears to my eyes. I highly recommend this show to anyone that has the opportunity to get to NYC to see it.
Wonderful experience We took our two children to it and they were on the edge of their seats.
Absolutely incredible show!!! The acting, singing, the movements of the performers, it was a show our entire family will never forget!!
I was deeply moved by the show, inspired by the artistry of the costume design and the talent of the actors. I have seen many shows on Broadway and this was the most epic for sure. I would highly recommend it to anyone, from novice to theater expert.
What a phenomenal show! So much detail in the costumes and set, so much talent on stage. I was absolutely amazed at how efficient everything was. Disney has thought of everything, as always. I highly recommend this show to everyone!
The show was awesome and very entertaining...only disappointed no popcorn for sale at concession
Tickets electronic so no waiting in line - seats in the Mezz level were fantastic - went with my Best Friend, Moms of Boys, who shared many an afternoon with our kids engrossed in the movie - so we decided to treat ourselves. Must See!
