A couples weekend to NYC to see The Lion King did not disappoint! Great show!
Lion king was phenomenal! The talent was extraordinary. This is probably one of the best Broadway shows I have seem ! The set ,costumes , acting , singing and dancing were all superb . I highly recommend and the Theater staff were wonderful too
We bought the tickets as a Christmas gift for our adult children/spouses that live in NYC. We met them and attended the show at Minskoff Theatre. It was AMAZING!! The singing, costumes, props, actors were all unbelievable! We enjoyed the show so much. It was great to share it as a family. Any age group will enjoy this show. It is a MUST SEE Show! So grateful for this experience opportunity!
This was the most spectacular Broadway show I have ever seen! The visuals and images from the amazing costumes and scenery will stay with you long after the show. The music was moving, and the performers were flawless. Highly reccommended!
Excellent cast and the costumes were amazing. Enjoyed the play very much. We felt there was a slight sound system issue on the upper left side of the theatre. At times, there were crackling sounds, and the casts singing was very low. Still the play was excellent and would highly recommend to families with children.
The production of The Lion King in Charlotte at the Blumingthal was magnificent- bigger & more professional! We enjoyed comparing the differences in the two,
This was our first time to see the Lion King on Broadway. It was nothing like I expected. The characters and puppetry was over the top. The singing if was beautiful. Each character was brought to life by the excellent performers.
While this was the first show I attended in NYC, this was by far the most incredible musical show I experienced. The costumes, the way the story was retransmitted, the performance of the dancers, singers, actors make this whole experience a master piece from my perspective. Thank you for this magnificent moment!
It was amazing! my family and I enjoyed the show very much.
An amazing, elaborate and passionate production! Amazing acting and unforgettable heavenly voices!
I have been bringing guests to The Lion King since it opened in 1997 for $25.00/orchestra seat (plus a watch). At least 5 times since, Whenever guests come from out-of-town, I can count on them having a great Broadway experience at The Lion King. Usually, I am delighted with the new additions. I think my favorite was the summer of 2018 production. I was sadly quite disappointed in the Dec. 30,2019 production. Mustafa was mediocre at best. The overlong hyena dance was ugly. The waterfall piece, looked quickly pieced together. Beloved Rifi somehow lost her distinctive musicality. Much of the dialogue of other performer’s dialogue was unclear. Fortunately this performance was my guests first experience with the Lion King. Due to their excellent aisle orchestra seats they were mesmerized by the actors and the puppetry. They had a great time, but I was disappointed.
The family had a great time and the performance exceeded expectations.
The costumes, music, singing. The whole experience beyond any show we have ever seen. Bravo
The seats were perfect and the performance excellent. The experience taking my four grandchildren was awesome for they truly enjoyed themselves
Fantastic show for the whole family! One of the kids Christmas presents and they couldn’t be happier!
My young daughter and I really enjoyed the musical. The performers channeled their energy into the show and the composition was exquisite. Great show for kids!
Great seats with excellent views of every scene. Beautiful production that I highly recommend to the young and old.
I was so excited to take my kids to see the show. I have seen it about 3 times now, and I loved every minute of it. Now, when I say kids, I mean a teenager and a preteen. They love theater especially musical theater. I wanted to expose them to the brilliance of theater in New York. Being a former professional actor on Broadway, I am truly aware of the great talent that exist in New York. Everyone from the ticket taker to the ushers were wonderful. They show began and it did not disappointment. The puppetry, the imagery, the opening processional and so much more were so exciting for my kids. They loved the show so much. However, I was a little disappointed in some of the performances, they seemed to be a little lackluster. I know that can happen from time to time. Maybe someone is sick and does the show anyway. I did many shows with a cold making sure I was at my best while dealing with an illness. But, I did feel a little like a few characters where just phoning it in. I do not type this lightly. I have the utmost respect for actors and artists. So many cannot do what they do, but wow. I couldn't help feeling like some of the actors were really ready to go home. With that being said, the Rafiki was remarkable that night. The hyenas were fantastic and a few more were great as well. I will not name the names of those I felt were phoning it in, but I know Disney can do better. I am never disappointed in anything Disney does, but those performances were a bit of a let down. That is all. Overall, still one of the most magical shows to watch on Broadway. Thank you for securing my kids love of theater.
We loved every minute of this remarkable show. Our three little boys were literally on the edge of their seats from start to finish. The performers were amazing. We were sad it had to end.
i was moved to tears. the singers were superb. the actors were excelent.
