About

Formed in Fargo, North Dakota, the a cappella group The Blenders consists of Tim Kasper, Ryan Lance, Darren Rust and Allan Rust. The foursome first won a following playing colleges and universities in the early ‘90s, releasing their debut album, Totally Whipped, in 1993. Other highlights include the fan-favorite 1997 Christmas album Nog and the group's major-label debut Loveland in 1999, featuring the hit track "(I Am in Love With the) McDonald's Girl." The group has also found success performing on national television shows, including The Arsenio Hall Show and NBC's The Today Show. More recently, the group recorded two more Christmas albums, 2004's Holiday Best, which quickly found its way onto the Billboard charts, and 2005's Most Wonderful Time. Currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, The Blenders continues to write and record new music and tour the country.

I loved it so much I want to go every year now! The holiday music was great and they also mixed in some other music from their albums.

The Blenders are better than ever. I have seen them at least a dozen times over the years. I have brought business clients, friends and family to the shows. The last couple of years it has been just us and the 5 kids ages 6-15. we all find this show to be a highlight of the season. They should find a way to do a summer show.

The Blenders always do a great job and it has become my holiday tradition for almost as long as they have been doing it. It's a show that really all ages could enjoy.

It has been a tradition to see the Blenders in their christmas concert for our family since they started- they have great chemistry and still managed to bring something new to the table year after year

This was the second time I have seen the Blenders. Their voices are beautiful and their concert was truly entertaining.

Great concert as always. It was too bad it started late (by about 15 minutes). They sang most of their hits, and maybe too many that weren't Christmas songs, but still great performances. We did miss Silent Night at the end though

  • All I can say is...WOW!

by Blujeans55 on 12/20/12Des Moines Civic Center - Des MoinesRating: 5 out of 5

I am so impressed with their talent and creativity, and just plain FUN in their show. One of the best Christmas shows I have seen. And best of all, they actually sang real Christmas songs...about the birth of Jesus!

  • The Blenders continue to amaze

After more than 15 years of watching these young men develop in their talent, their harmony and their comedy, they continue to amaze. For me, the Blenders is the true start of the Christmas season. Their accapella renditions of the Christmas classics as well as their own Christmas stories through song are amazing, the energy and imagination they pour into their show leave you breathless and the comedy they bring simply leave your sides hurting from laughter. Above all, they remain humble and genuine after all of these years. This is one show I will never miss.

Harmony, laughter, fun, talent and wonder are the words that I use to describe this concert. Completely amazing. The holidays for me will always include The Blenders, heck all year will include The Blenders.

  • The Blenders - a Favorite Holiday Tradition!!

by EPCP on 12/18/12Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

The Blenders never disappoint. Once again they delivered an AMAZING Holiday Extravaganza!! I've been attending their Holiday Concert for 8 years so it has become a Holiday Tradition and is always a highlight of the Holiday Season. :) Their vocal harmony is so full & rich, I love to hear them sing the traditional Christmas Carols, especially when they sing a cappella, as well as their original Holiday songs. :) They've also gotten quite creative with their additional 'guest group appearances', their 'Frosty the Snowman' cartoon this year and their "Songs from the Soul" are wonderful. Already looking forward to next year. A true Christmas Blessing! Thank You Blenders!!

  • Loved It!

Wow! What fun and joy! I brought a friend and we will, 'MUST SEE to ENJOY' next year. I was nearly brought to 'happy tears' more than once. Beautifully done! Thanks You, Kate

  • The Best Way to Find Your Holiday Spirit!

This was our 10th straight year, the Blenders know the way to find the spirit of Christmas.

  • 12 days of Christmas was terrible

by Isos on 12/17/12Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 1 out of 5

Don't know how to say this nice, but the Blenders are no longer our favorite group to watch as a family. There was a band, what happend to acapela. Stage attire was horrific. They didn't sing silent night. They threw a welcome card to a married couple, very innapropriate for a family friendly show. People like the old blenders. Why did they change???

  • Th Blenders were outstanding!

    by ChevBlaz96 on 12/17/12Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

We have seen the annual Blenders concert for the past 5 years and this one topped them ll! I love the traditional Christmas music as well as the mix of 'soul'. They were spot-on with their selections. The show just keeps getting better...if that's possible. Can't wait until next years concert!!
