Wonderful Band & time.. so Enjoyable.. great venue & talented band.. will be going again whenever they play
I'm a big Eagles fan and I think Eaglemania's performance ensures that I'll try to see them again. They played so many songs in the two sets that I couldn't think of one Eagles song they missed. You really get your money's worth with this group. As for the vocals, I thought the front man did a great job with the songs Don Henley usually sang and he had a nice stage presence. The acoustic guitar player with the cowboy hat nailed the songs that Glen Frey handled with the Eagles. Both got the audience involved. The keyboard player was across the stage from me, and I had a hard time hearing him when he sang from there. When he switched to the guitar near center stage, he sounded pretty good. I didn't think anyone hit the high notes as cleanly as Timothy Schmidt in "I can't tell you why". All the musicians sounded accomplished. Keyboard, drums and bass were nice. But the lead guitarist was out of sight. Incredible solos on I'm not sure how many numbers, all great. His dueling with the other electric guitar player toward the end of the second set was a highlight. The only problem I had with the lead guitarist was that he was large a large guy that he blocked my view of the drummer. The food was good; the wait staff was excellent.
Probably a little biased since I saw Brit Floyd at a top notch performing arts cheaper a few weeks ago for less money and was BLOWN away. Here, not so much. The venue is old and frankly weird, and the sound mix was just off. I only stayed past the intermission because we spent $20 on a ride over. The band has talent, but overall it was not as tight as I was expecting. I guess if you're just looking for something to do and have money to spare, they're okay, but definitely not going to knock your socks off.
My wife and I started dating in 1975. The Eagles came out in 1976 with their first album. We listened over and over to the songs of The Eagles while we were falling in love. The Eagles are my wife’s favorite band. Eagle Mania sounded like the original group!!! We knew the words to all the songs and sang along!! Myself being a retired music teacher and performer, can truly say the musicianship on stage was of superior quality and caliber!! The vocals and the vocal harmonies were spot on. Their instrumental abilities were some of the best I’ve heard. They put on a fabulous show!!! We’re planning on seeing them again. You won’t be disappointed seeing and listening to them perform. Their performance was at Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe, PA. it’s a beautiful venue for concerts. They have a restaurant, Roadies, on the second floor with good food and a fantastic staff. There’s a bonus of breathtaking vistas. We can’t wait to have dinner there just to enjoy the fall foliage.
The Eaglemania Band delivered an excellent show! Looking forward to seeing them again
