About

Formed in Fargo, North Dakota, the a cappella group The Blenders consists of Tim Kasper, Ryan Lance, Darren Rust and Allan Rust. The foursome first won a following playing colleges and universities in the early ‘90s, releasing their debut album, Totally Whipped, in 1993. Other highlights include the fan-favorite 1997 Christmas album Nog and the group's major-label debut Loveland in 1999, featuring the hit track "(I Am in Love With the) McDonald's Girl." The group has also found success performing on national television shows, including The Arsenio Hall Show and NBC's The Today Show. More recently, the group recorded two more Christmas albums, 2004's Holiday Best, which quickly found its way onto the Billboard charts, and 2005's Most Wonderful Time. Currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, The Blenders continues to write and record new music and tour the country.

The concert was good.........Years in the past they put more into it. Now they have the Band which we love but .......No Trees......NO Santa........No......Bling......They just plain didn't go the full 9 yards.......Our 7 th year..........Next year we may change it up with a different choice........????? We do love the Pantages Theatre..........So quaint and cozy.........enjoy a glass of wine during the performance; )

What incredible talent! The PERFECT Christmas concert! It's so refreshing to hear truly gifted singers (not studio digitized)! This concert had it all: awesome music, comedy, Christmas spirit! It was also really terrific to see people of all ages enjoying this great style of music. We look forward to many more years enjoying The Blenders' Christmas concert!

  • 20 Years and still blending

    by bery250624 on 12/7/10Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Myself and my family have been going to see the Blenders for 18 years- saw them first in college in 1992, just two years after they formed. As a poor college student, I shelled out $17 for their "Totally Whipped" album in our student center- I've been a fan since. The "blend" of musical style and choices along with showmanship make their holiday concert a real treat. The live band added a few years ago is a great addition and they delight with some of their "special guests" like the Folkers and the velvet lounge singer. They keep telling the audience that as long as we keep going they will keep playing, I cant see that ending anytime soon.

  • Incredible

The music and sounds that the Blenders produce is amazing. The video that was played outlining their history was very interesting to see. I sensed that there was a larger number of children that attended and it was disappointing that Santa wasn't a part of the show.

Have seen the Blenders three times over the past several years and this was one of their best shows. They really set up the holiday season for us. Congrats for the past 20 years and wish them at least 20 more singing together!

It was too loud and I think the Blenders are much better without a band behind them, it takes away from their singing.

  • The Blenders are the best!

If you want to get into the Christmas spirit, then the Blenders concert is the venue for you. This was our second year in a row and it will be a tradition for many years to come. Don't miss the chance to hear them!

Expected less self promotion. We found the videos to be odd. Perhaps if you are a groupie, this is a good concert. This was our first exposure to The Blenders in concert and we would not do it again.

  • the good the bad and the ugly

    by northwoods3plus1 on 12/6/10Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 2 out of 5

While they sing great the multitude of Christmas music was not expected and not appreciated. If I'd known that was going to be the program I wouldn't have gone. But by far the most disturbing was the loud band drowning out the singing. I'll confine myself to their cds in the future.

Would rather see them get back to more Christmas and if they want to do more regular songs..do a concert in the summer...................Sounds are great ...love the band..........Overall loved it....more Christmas in the music selection and the stage settings

  • Where was the Christmas music

by Anonymous on 12/6/10Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 3 out of 5

While the Blenders have incredible voices, I came to see a Christmas concert...not a 20 year reunion concert. I was disappointed that there was so much of the time spent on them reliving the last 20 years and not on the music I came to see.

  • Blenders brought this old girl to her feet!

by Sammymay on 12/6/10Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

Loved this show. A bit corny for some but for this old broad a ton of fun! Fantastic voices and perfect harmony made this show amazing.
