About

Formed in Fargo, North Dakota, the a cappella group The Blenders consists of Tim Kasper, Ryan Lance, Darren Rust and Allan Rust. The foursome first won a following playing colleges and universities in the early ‘90s, releasing their debut album, Totally Whipped, in 1993. Other highlights include the fan-favorite 1997 Christmas album Nog and the group's major-label debut Loveland in 1999, featuring the hit track "(I Am in Love With the) McDonald's Girl." The group has also found success performing on national television shows, including The Arsenio Hall Show and NBC's The Today Show. More recently, the group recorded two more Christmas albums, 2004's Holiday Best, which quickly found its way onto the Billboard charts, and 2005's Most Wonderful Time. Currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, The Blenders continues to write and record new music and tour the country.

Took my daughter and two of my sisters to see The Blenders and we were thrilled with their performance! The show was a wonderful mix of Christmas, Holiday, Winter, Motown and Rock, performed both a cappella and band backed. The band was great, too! THANK YOU, guys, for a fun experience we'll treasure forever. In fact, we want to make it an annual event. PLEASE don't retire any time soon!

  • A show that never disappoints

by Kremer on 12/16/15Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I have attended the holiday concert about 6 times. Its become an annual tradition with my girlfriends. The songs are familiar, their voices as smooth as silk and they always look like they are having fun. Oh, and they are not bad to look at either! I enjoyed every song, the light show, the conversations with the audience. I just can't say enough good things about them. Love, love, love them!

We love going to the Blenders every holiday season. It is a family tradition now. Our girls are 21 and 23 and we have been going since they were in their early teens. The venue is wonderful - except for the outrageous drink prices - not a bad seat in the theater!

  • Nice afternoon

We had bought tickets to bring my mother-in-law as she has their Christmas CDs. They are a very talented and energetic group. Overall though we would have enjoyed more if it was strictly a Christmas show. They incorporated some pop songs in the show, which they performed well. We just didn't leave the theatre feeling like we wanted to sing Christmas carols.

Awesome! These guys hit the mark every year without fail. They are engaging and entertaining. You feel like you are with family. Oh and let's not forget they can sing like the dickens! :) If you were not in the Christmas mood when you walked in... well you were when you walked out.

This show was such a special outing for my husband and I. The music was fabulous and the choreography was fantastic with a twist of humor. I got the chills quite a few times because the harmony was so great. We loved it! Thank you for putting on such an incredible show.

  • The Blenders -- Ummm, only "OK"

by OutWithFamily on 12/15/15Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 2 out of 5

The concert was a bit too long for what was offered. Overall it lacked pazazz -- the last couple of songs were very well done, but that was about it. They seem to scream their songs and that really takes away from their overall underlying organic talent. So tone it down a bit guys and change up your costuming a bit for something a little more fun and festive. Bring in a female for some songs to add some flair....Sooooo much more they could do to make it a better performance. Also, they needed a program!! Two stars is the best I can do.
