About

Formed in Fargo, North Dakota, the a cappella group The Blenders consists of Tim Kasper, Ryan Lance, Darren Rust and Allan Rust. The foursome first won a following playing colleges and universities in the early ‘90s, releasing their debut album, Totally Whipped, in 1993. Other highlights include the fan-favorite 1997 Christmas album Nog and the group's major-label debut Loveland in 1999, featuring the hit track "(I Am in Love With the) McDonald's Girl." The group has also found success performing on national television shows, including The Arsenio Hall Show and NBC's The Today Show. More recently, the group recorded two more Christmas albums, 2004's Holiday Best, which quickly found its way onto the Billboard charts, and 2005's Most Wonderful Time. Currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, The Blenders continues to write and record new music and tour the country.

Enjoyed the whole experience. The band was great, but I really liked the acapella songs the best.

  • So so

by Jag on 12/13/22Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 3 out of 5

After a Covid hiatus I was expecting more. The Blenders basically just showed up and did nothing more then that. Disappointed for sure

  • Kicking off the holiday season…

by Sandie on 12/12/22Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

The Blenders have a unique talent… their voices & energy are amazing. The vocal arrangements they put together for traditional Christmas songs pulls you into the music. Even the next day, I had their CDs playing. They just kick start the holiday season at our house! Great concert!

  • Incredible entertainment

I can’t believe I had never seen them before. I am a big music lover and just could not believe I waited so long to see them. Took my two grown daughters with and they loved it also. We stated we would be back and next time will bring the granddaughters with. We truly loved it and enjoyed every minute of the show.

Fabulous! Extremely talented. Music, lighting, choreography was delivered. Showcase over all was very professional. Also, breaking up songs to interject humor was a hit! Congratulations job well done!

  • The Blenders - Pantages 2019

    by D. D. on 12/18/19Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Wow. The Blenders still sound so fantastic. Covering some older work this year was a welcome change. Our neighbors in the row behind us were attending their first show and that this is going to become an annual show for them! Thank you Blenders! (Tim, Ryan, Darrin, and Allan)

  • 30 years of AMAZING!

by KG on 12/17/19Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve been a Blenders fan since my college days and try to attend a show each year. This year, much like the past 20+, we left smiling, laughing, cheering and singing along. Amazing harmonies and so much fun! The Blenders show gives everyone holiday spirit. Here’s to another 30 years!!

  • Amazing show, great family experience

by GisNik on 12/17/19Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

It wouldn't be Christmas without the Blenders involved in our annual tradition. Great music, raw talent, wonderful performers. People working the event were kind and helpful. Had a larger refreshment order and the bartender/concessions guy helped me being the order to our seats!

  • Wonderful Christmas Show

Excellent mix of modern and traditional songs. Beautiful backdrops and lighting. Not just good vocals but the group entertained and got the audience involved.

  • Spectacular!

    by L. V. on 12/15/19Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I first started to listen to the Blenders when I heard the "Wake up with Fox 9" jingle. Since then I have been to most every concert!! The show was absolutely fabulous and loved hearing some of the former numbers. I'm never disappointed!! Even got a hug from Darren at the meet and greet!!

  • Not A-Cappella

by Tuck on 12/15/19Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 1 out of 5

Very disappointed, heard these guys years ago at the MN zoo when they truly were A Cappella, not this time! There was a full band and they were loud drowning out their voices and harmonizing. We left at intermission. Theater was very nice and would certainly attend another event there.

  • 12th year with the blenders

by Nan on 12/15/19Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

My girlfriend and I always start the holiday season with the Blenders. As is always the case, they didn’t disappoint. Looking forward to next year!

  • Great show with great music.

    by J. M. on 12/21/18Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

I think it is time for them to retire the 12 days of Christmas routine. Perhaps they should go back and do the Folkers. It may be time for them to update their dance moves as well. Just seem a little repetitive. Having said that the real reason you go to the show is their awesome music!!

  • Love these guys!!!

by Lynn on 12/19/18Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

My favorite concert ever!!! Christmas music, faith centered. And I know all of the words to the songs. Best ever!!!!

  • Great show except it was migraine inducing...

    by LondonBrooklyn76 on 12/18/18Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 3 out of 5

I have been going every year since 2013. It’s pretty much the same as far as the songs, the choreography etc., they throw in a few new numbers here and there. This year, the spot lights and stage lights were overkill. Usually we have had balcony seats so we didn’t have this issue before. This year we had floor seats and I was blinded. I spent most of the show having to look down or away. I have glaucoma so the intense lights brought on a horrible migraine. I think I’ll skip next year.

  • What a Show!

    by Dan H on 12/18/18Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Wow! This was the first time I had seen them and really head them. Prior to the concert I had listened to only 3 or4 of their songs online. I was blown away by their talent, They have taken old favorite Christmas songs and rearranged them so they sound brand new to a new fan. I will definitely go back and see them again. A new fan for life!
