I had no prior knowledge of the plot or even the premise to Something Rotten but knew it was la touring musical so assumed it would be decent. It was not decent--IT WAS GREAT. The NY cast was terrific, the play superbly written and executed and the cast was wonderful. We laughed more at this musical than any other we have attended. This is a gem of a show and we highly recommend it.
On a brief visit to New York we took in this show which was great from start to finish. Simply put it was massively entertaining. Funny, well written and performed and thoroughly enjoyable.
This was a very clever, well thought, funny musical. The one liners are just out of this world. I commend the writers, KUDOS!!!! I've never laughed so hard. Thank You so much for a very entertaining evening with my daughter.
One of the best shows we have seen. The cast , music , set , are all wonderful. We saw it two times and could easily see it again if we were able. Very funny and entertaining.

Although the Broadway run is coming to a close, be SURE to see Something Rotten on tour! It is a fabulously entertaining show!!

My friends and I really enjoyed this musical. It was funny, clever and so entertaining. Acting and singing were right on. While I wouldn't say it was "amazing" it was very very good

SOMETHING ROTTEN is a brilliantly written homage to Broadway musicals....with codpieces. It was beautifully performed December 19, and everyone from the first minstrel to the last egg were fantastic in every role. The combination of a rock theme along with lines and music from 100 musicals made it something you had to actively listen to to appreciate, and you do!
Something Rotten was uniquely clever and original! Pay attention or you may miss all the embedded references to other plays and musicals! Lots of fun and pure entertainment!
Perfect! Something Rotten was off the charts... I do 4-5 shows a year - and this performance wins my past year... Entire cast was exceptional - and Shakespeare, Adam Pascal, CRUSHED the role... Rob McClure also stood out with amazing timing and a quirkiness that was on point. For those who have not seen it ---- SEE IT!!! P.S. ( I NEVER write reviews - that is how good this was)
Not only was this show creative and funny the whole way through, there was great music as well! The cast was incredibly talented in both acting and singing, and it was very entertaining! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great musical that will also give them a good laugh.
This play was very creative and original. Lyrics, tunes were great. Nostradamus stole the show.
Something Rotten was a wonderful show. It was energetic and great for teens to adults. Went with my family for a holiday event in the city and the show was so much fun. It was funny, entertaining and the laughs never stopped! Wish I had the chance to go sooner. Great time had by all!

The many allusions to other well-known musicals and references to famous songs throughout the entire show make Something Rotten! completely entertaining.
