  • Lots of Fun

by Emily's Fan Club on 11/10/21Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Funny and smart, with great singing and puppeteering thrown in!

  • MST3K was a laugh riot

    by J. B. on 11/10/21Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Just brilliant. The performances and writing were exceptional, better than what I remember from the original, and the movie was deliciously inane. I'd go again in a heartbeat. Guess I'll have to check the new(er) show out on Netflix...

  • Such a great time

by Chris on 11/10/21Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This is my third live MST3K show and it was great. The movie was awful and the jokes were hilarious! Will go again next year.

  • Laughed until my chest hurt

by Patrick on 11/10/21Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This was an absolutely hilarious show. The movie was WILD and the riffing was on point. Highly recommended.

  • MST3K is back, albeit a bit different...

    by MarkNYC64 on 11/10/21Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Great riffing even though for a diehard like myself it was an all new cast and a few new characters as well. However, the movie -- "Making Contact" -- was perfect for this since it ripped off EVERY 80s movie from Poltergeist and Goonies to E.T. and ... Magic? Yup! Despite the great riffs from the new cast, it would be nice if the gang could all mend fences and get back together. Who wouldn't want to see Joel or Mike or Jonah or Dr. Forester or TV's Frank? I know I would! Much more fun when you go with a few friends as well. I am not a crackpot.

  • Awesome show!

  • I had a wonderful time.

by Bad Horse on 11/9/21Rochester Auditorium Theatre - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

Great seats. I was in an area with good leg room. The meet and greet with the cast of Mystery Science Theater was great. Felt a connection with them during the meet and greet. The bar staff was on top of things

  • Lots of laughs!

by Jesse on 11/9/21Rating: 5 out of 5

It was probably the best live show I've been to; Emily and Mega Synthia are so funny together and the side acts and songs were very clever and fun and the riff itself was also spot on for yet another terrible movie made awesome.

  • The Opposite of Deep Hurting

by Crow T. Robot on 11/9/21Rochester Auditorium Theatre - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

Emily is fantastic! The whole crew were great. MST3K is a class production.

  • Awesome show

by Dan on 11/9/21Rochester Auditorium Theatre - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

This show had everything that made MST3K special. Great movie riffing, funny skits, and even the audience caused the cast to crack up at times. Loved it, hope they come back through Rochester soon!!!

  • Fun but not much different than being in my living room

by Wizbang on 11/9/21Rochester Auditorium Theatre - RochesterRating: 2 out of 5

So overall, they did a great job bringing the MST3K living room experience to the stage. But that's pretty much all it was. Nothing unique about being on stage or in front of a live audience (except for some vamping at the beginning trying to get applause), and nothing unique or different than being in my living room. In fact, in my living room I would have had closed-captioning so I could understand what they were saying when the film wasn't rolling - they were talking so fast I could barely catch a word in the theater echo. Also, it was very distracting for Emily to be scrolling on a tablet of some sort in between lines. She even made a quip about "memorizing lines" as part of her lines, so why can't she memorize hers? It cheapened the experience and made it feel more amateurish than it should be. Lastly, back to the living room for a moment, the picture I get on my TV would have been bigger and clearer than the image they had on the big screen. Either someone doesn't know how to calibrate exposure on a video camera (the center camera, to be specific) or they didn't compensate for the extra background brightness of filming on front of their own screen. Overall, the evening was fun, the movie was horrible, and the quips fantastic, but I would rather have paid $30 for all my friends to be at my house in front of my big screen TV with popcorn and wine and our own comments (without disturbing others in a theater) to this event. It was just "adequate" with a side of "disappointment."

  • Great show

    by Morella1 on 11/8/21Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

I lived in the UK for 7 years, and was able to attend what the British call a pantomime (panto) show several times. For those of you who don’t know, it’s usually a fairy tale, but it’s a comedy. There is a lot of audience interaction with the villain, songs, and general silliness. This was the closest thing to a Panto that I’ve seen since moving back to the US. There were some technical difficulties but that just fits right in with MST3K. Great experience and great cast!

Absolutely amazing! They did such a good job of translating MST3K from screen to stage. The performance was high-energy and hilarious!

  • Bye Joel

by Uncle Albert on 3/16/20The Wellmont Theater - MontclairRating: 5 out of 5

Another great tour for MST3K. Joel's farewell. Definitely keeps one wanting more after NF cancelled the revival. Hope the show gets a new home and they can continue as long as possible. Certainly the place was packed with fans last night.

  • So much fun!

by RarnChild on 3/11/20The Wellmont Theater - MontclairRating: 5 out of 5

Saw No Retreat, No Surrender a few months ago - and laughed for 2 hours straight. This time it was Circus of Horrors - nothing but laughs again, from beginning to end. It's so sad that this is the end of an era. You will be greatly missed MST!

  • A HILARIOUS BLAST!

by Siskita on 3/10/20The Wellmont Theater - MontclairRating: 5 out of 5

I'm so glad I didn't miss this amazing tour! The venue/sound was fantastic, the beer was lovely, and the show itself was so funny. Exactly what MST3K is all about - puppetry, bad movies, great riffing, and even some wonderful improv mixed in. I echo what one of the other audience members said to Joel, thanking him for decades of brilliant joy and entertainment: thank you! - Sierra

I had never seen the live show before so I didn't know what to expect. It was absolutely hilarious. Everyone in the crowd including myself laughed all night long.😆
